Will This Muslim Girl Be Allowed To Live After Changing Religion?

Rifqa Bary

A 17 year old Muslim girl (Rifqa Bary) has converted to Christianity in Ohio, U.S. According to CNN, the girl (who was earlier reported missing) was found in Florida, living in the home of the Rev Blake Lorenz of the Global Revolution Church in Orlando. Rifqa Bary quoted her father as saying “you are dead to me and I will kill you.” But her father (Muhammad Bary) denied this and said that he had no problem with his daughter practicing any faith (although he would have preferred her to be a Muslim). Rifqa’s attorney John Stemberger is convinced that Islamic radicals would kill her if she returned to Ohio.

So will Rifqa be allowed to live?

Or will she be killed by those who think that she deserves to die?

    Hend,

No, Shari’ah has not been fully implemented in Pakistan. You understood the points but not some of the others.

But apostasy has different forms in it. I can’t be a judge to anything nor am I trying to be one. Sister Naureen also simply tried to state the facts mentioned about apostasy in Islam. Brother Faraz did the same. Allaho ‘Aalam.

I asked brother Yusuf Estes and he provided me with a link to a similar question he had answered.

The sad fact here is that those who try to give comments that they feel are helpful/informative are met with abuse. From my side, i will try my best, insha’Allah, to stay relevant to the topic, not get myself involved in useless comments and ignore abuse.

@Hend: This has nothing to do with an Islamic court. It must be in a country that is purely Islamic, and there is none in the world today. In Islam, an individual cannot carry out any punishment by himself, and if he does, it would be cold blooded murder. Now we all know the punishment for murder in Islam.

@Naureen: You could not answer a single question I asked you. And stop with your leaving drama. It’s not like you will not visit this website. Maybe you will comment under a different name, but I will be glad if you don’t, since people like you don’t deserve to be here. Go join a Saudi forum.

According to Sharia, the penalty for apostasy or being murtad is death. There are no doubts or two opinions about it. I believe Momina and Naureen are stating the fact as it stands.

Mohammed Yusha and Shakir Lakhani on the other hand have a different view which amounts to advocating that “Islam’s teachings should evolve with changes in society” thus they are leaning towards heresy, strictly speaking.

However there seems a general consensus between both the warring factions that the Sharia would apply only if there is a system of Islamic courts in the land where the apostacy was committed. In case of Pakistan, I am not sure if Sharia has been fully implemented. can someone clarify this?

I would go a step further and say that, since the girl and her father have both owed allegience to the laws of the USA by virtue of being resident in that land, it is mandatory for them to abide by those as long as they live there. Thus her father will have to first renounce his allegience to the laws of the USA or leave USA or revoke his citizenship and physically move to a place where Sharia is enforced to be able to carry out the punishment if he wanted to do it himself.

I am leaving this blog because this blog is not about the problems arising in Islamic families but it is to comment on personalities.

This is really painful that nobody bothers what happens and yet they do argument for sake of arguments and may be a modified form of chatting rooms like in msn or yahoo messengers.

And I am not interested in waste of energy and time chatting with people for their time pass.

    Feeamaan Allah
May Allah bless all of you with real Islamic attitude and thoughts

@Naureen: Anyone who calls for the murder of others is crazy. This is a fact. It has nothing to do with my name or anything else. On the point of 4 witnesses you did not even know what I was talking about, and you are here to give fatwas. I was saying that a person who is charged with adultery must have at least 4 people who saw him/her commit adultery. You can read the rest of my comment on the previous page.

@Momina: You have continuously replied, so it means that my comments do bother you. You come across as a liar when you say they don’t, and when you call others dogs you just prove my point even further that you are abusive and a hypocrite, because you tell others not to abuse and yet you do it yourself.

    >>>Whom you abuse are also the sisters and daughters of someone. What respect you feel for your blood-relation sisters try a bit to respect sisters in faith in the same vein.

Please stop with your hypocrisy. You just abused my female relatives and then you come up with this? Also, the girl in the picture who you (and Naureen) want murdered is also the sister and daughter of someone.

I also see that you don’t have any answer to my comment in bold on the previous page.

A person who disbelieves Kalamullah is outside the pale of Islam. Even if they disbelieve one letter of the Holy Qur’an. Those who believe that there should be female prophets are once again disbelievers. The list would go on and whoever does so I will tell them to recite the Kalimah-e-Shahaadah again and to repent. If they do not, it is not my problem. If my saying so hurts anyone. Let it hurt them to the utmost…

“I thank God there are people like Momina on this planet. How else would I know the difference between psychopaths and normal people?”

So that is your real problem. Tsk tsk. I will pray that you also become part of the normal people.

“she poses like she’s a great scholar”

I never posed as anything – I am a Muslimah – but it just proves how you feel about me. I am honoured. At the same time I will clarify I am not a scholar (I have already stated that a number of times. To check my credentials (lol) please check the info on my profile page). The little bit of knowledge that I have is what every Muslim should have and more than this.
[Non-Muslims are exempted…they may gain the knowledge if they want.]

I think you are referring to the term of Jazakallah/Jazakillah/Jazakumallah. Human beings cannot reward a person for their deed(s). That is why, the Sunnah tells us to say Jazakallah-May Allah SWT reward you (the person addressed to). Allah Alone knows the worth of someone’s deed.

This further proves your inferiority complex…maybe it has something to do with the psychopath tag you attached to yourself…

Yusha, everyone is aware of your abusive behaviour, you are free to deny this. But it is a fact. I would never have involved any of your relatives in this nor would I have said what has offended (well, everything offends you- but you know what I specifically mean) if you had not started the abuse in this post as well. Whom you abuse are also the sisters and daughters of someone. What respect you feel for your blood-relation sisters try a bit to respect sisters in faith in the same vein.

Rest, when dogs bark it doesn’t bother me.

For your own sake get a grip over your abusive nature.

@ Yusha: “Most of the male relatives who murder these innocent girls are fornicators and masturbators themselves”. They may be fornicators, but how do you know they masturbate? Just curious.

    Hadith on Adultery Punishment

Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith 2.329 Narrated byAbu Dhar

Allah’s Apostle said, “Someone came to me from my Lord and gave me the news (or good tidings) that if any of my followers dies worshiping none (in any way) along with Allah, he will enter Paradise.” I asked, “Even if he committed illegal sexual intercourse (adultery) and theft?” He replied, “Even if he committed illegal sexual intercourse (adultery) and theft.”

It means, If a Muslim is nt Shirki, then There is POSSIBILITY for forgiveness in hereafter, of the sins like Zinah and theft.

But Shirk will never be forgiven because it is ZULM-UN_AZEEM

    Simple

“Faraz: You are the first person who has started to make some sense, although even you are wrong. The punishment can only apply in a purely Islamic state, and even they will require 4 witnesses, which is impossible to produce, unless someone deliberately has sex in front of 4 people.”

Brother, This statement of your, shows that you are among those, to whom the knowledge reaches and yet they disbelief.

Why you are arguing on the point that is clear like a mirror?

Brother Faraz is absolutely correct and the thing your have quoted is about Zinah.

The girl has changed the religion here we have the girl so what is point in having 4 male witnesses? you have that girl telling you.

The other point is correct you have reached finally that for giving any Sharai punishment we need to have a complete Islamic state + Islamic court of law (Both).

Since we do not have this kind of state in Pakistan even and in that region where she resides then she must be left to Allah and we all Muslim know that Allah is never unjust and HE is all knowing what we do not know about her.

Request to all: Stop abusing lets find the ultimate solution for our problems in a good environment, any buddy can be right or wrong and remember nobody is giving or should give FATWA because we are not 100% literate, we can make mistakes.

    Regards,

“Naureen and Momina: Can both you crazy women tell me who is supposed to kill that girl?”

Your name is MUHAMMAD YUSHA. can you imagine a Muslim brother having a name started with the most glorious name given to the most beloved human being by the most gracious Almighty Allah Subhan wata’alah, calling his faith sisters CRAZY. you should be given a reward to have that courage, because no one on the face of the earth can fight against Allah Azzawajal.

I think your parents just gave you the name of pretty prophet and forgot to tell you the gist of Islam brought by the person after which you were named.

If following Islam is being CRAZY then i am proud to be one.

Allah says in Qura’an: those who do not believe are in great loss.

Being Muslim and asking this stupid question i feel really sorry because may be your are among those as well.

If your were non-Muslim i would have told you the real reason but as far as you are Muslim by name, even then it is your duty to research your DEEN (Religion) by your self.
