Will This Muslim Girl Be Allowed To Live After Changing Religion?

A 17 year old Muslim girl (Rifqa Bary) has converted to Christianity in Ohio, U.S. According to CNN, the girl (who was earlier reported missing) was found in Florida, living in the home of the Rev Blake Lorenz of the Global Revolution Church in Orlando. Rifqa Bary quoted her father as saying “you are dead to me and I will kill you.” But her father (Muhammad Bary) denied this and said that he had no problem with his daughter practicing any faith (although he would have preferred her to be a Muslim). Rifqa’s attorney John Stemberger is convinced that Islamic radicals would kill her if she returned to Ohio.

So will Rifqa be allowed to live?

Or will she be killed by those who think that she deserves to die?

To understand what sister Naureen said one has to be a Muslim.

As for what my concern should be…that is none of your concern. The wise person would have understood the whys and hows from the article to which the link was provided.

@tayyab: you have apoint there. But in a wrong way. It is due to the deteriorating state of taqwa of Muslims that they are at a loss. BUT, alhumdulillah, things are getting much better than before. Whatever our state of Imaan is has no power our the Commands of Allah SWT. How Allah SWT has Commanded something to be, it will be that way. NO ONE has the right to change it according to their whims and wishes. If one doesn’t want to believe it, no problem, don’t believe. Your beliefs has taken you out of the pale of Islam.

Are we going to kill each and every muslim one who is not following islamic rules?

The point is how much islamic rules can we apply on ourselves. Have we stopped telling lie, cheating, breaking state laws etc etc.

What are we going to do about those who have disgraced the whole islamic nation?

What will you achieve by killing an innocent poor girl?

Assalamoalikum,

First of all she should be asked the reason behind this decision.

As far as Islam is concern, if she is an adult and then she has decided for her this way then she will be called as MURTID and she should be killed according to the law of Almighty Allah, otherwise she is not bound and she will be taken as mistaken.

And as far as this so called secular world is concern, where NO RELIGION is a priority, then she is free to do any thing, in any manner, she wants to do “after all she is a Canadian adult libral girl” and in Canada or America or England Parents can not stop their child doing wrong.

BUT also remember, Allah is BEY NIYAAZ (least bothered) HE does not require human being to follow HIM rather we human being are helpless without HIS guidance.

May Allah guide us and save us from the FITNA (mischief) of SHAITAAN (Satan).

Wow…. And the Academy Award goes to…for best actress in a “C” grade movie. Well, I can honestly say that only those in the U.S. that already hate Islam and live in blind stupidity will be the only one touched by this sad attempt at defaming Islam. Everyday I read and watch the U.S. news I am more and more ashamed at the depths American culture has sank. Well, back to the story, not being Muslim but having some of them as very close friends, I can say that even the things that she states that her father has said does not sound like anything a Muslim father would say, “If you have this Jesus in your heart, you are dead to me…” It sounds like a line from a really bad soap opera. I don’t have anything other than that to contribute, well other than the shame of shared heritage with the perpetrators hatred and stupidity. I do have a question for you that I posted on my own blog. What is the problem with europe that they refuse to hold Israel accountable for their war crimes? If it were any other country there would be heavy sanctions and trials. It seems to me that Israel is the perpetrator of the same offenses as they accused the Nazis of so many years ago. All they’re missing is the ovens.
