Indian who has not bathed in 35 years

I thought I’d seen everything. But now they’ve discovered an Indian who hasn’t had a bath in 35 years. His name is Kailash Kalau Singh, and his name might get into the Guinness Book of Records.

It seems some palmist or astrologer (there are millions in India) told him he should never bathe if he wanted to be the father of a boy. Unfortunately in his case it didn’t work. He is now the father of seven daughters, but no son. Funny thing is, his wife still lives with him. I don’t think a woman in any other country would have tolerated such a husband. He had to sell his grocery store because customers didn’t like his unhealthy personality (maybe they didn’t like the stink).

I wonder if by some miracle this man becomes the father of a boy, will all such Indians stop bathing until their wives too produce male children?

You cant just put the tribes under one label. Different tribes have different origins. You can call them “uncouth” all you like, its just your racism and ignorance then. I doubt you have even been to FATA before.

None of my ancestors were hindu or buddhists…..and i’m damn proud of that fact. hindus are animal worshippers.

Your information is a little inaccurate. But let me try to explain.

Religion and ancestry are two different things.

People of Kashmir (both sides) have mixed ancestry of the so called ‘Indian DNA’ and central Asian DNA. In fact DNA studies have proved them to be closer to the ‘Indian’ than central Asian ancestry.

The so called Indian DNA in scientific parlance refers to the mtDNA of aboriginal tribals of India which is represent in its purest form in Munda tribes and Dalit populations.

Whereas the word ‘Indian ancestry’ refers as a whole to the peoples of India, Pakistan who are collectively a mixture of central Asian (Iranic) and Indian aboriginal ancestry…albeit in varying degrees. It must be clarified that this applies to the majority but there are ofcourse examples within Pakistan and India of communities which have purely Iranic or Mongol or Arab ancestry and this is perfectly natural and normal. If fact it would be a grand surprise if this was not the case.

Ancestry of people of Hunza and Chitral is debatable with a consensus lacking even among geneologists but DNA studies have not been able ot link them conclusively to any European tribes or even Parthians.

People of Pashtun areas or Pashtuns, who many people wrongly consider to be a homogeneous ethnic group belong to many different ancestries. Ranging from Indian ancestry (as explained 2 paragraphs above) to Iranic (Persian) and in some cases Semitic ancestry.

    Now coming to the religion.

Hindu does not mean having purely Indian ancestry. The founders of Hindu religion were of Iranic ancestry and it evolved in its early years in a region that is today Afghanistan and Pakistan. The Afghanistan region was also largely Budhist at a point of time.

Going by the violent prone and uncouth nature of the tribes in the north western areas, it is indeed hard to believe that many of them could have had a Budhist or Hindu ancestry but considering that the tribes existed in the region which was largely Zoroastrian and Hindu and then Budhist at different points of time, it is difficult to completely rule out the possibility of your ancestors having been Hindus, heart breaking as it may seem to you.

@ Ran: most Muslims of the subcontinent may have similar DNA to other religious/ethnic groups, but the people of Indian J&K (as well as Azad Kashmir, Hunza, Chitral and some parts of Pakistan’s northern areas) are descended from Europeans/Greeks/Central Asians.

As much as we like to do deny it, most Pakistanis are descended from hindu/buddhist/jains and considered ourselves indians at one point. The foreign blood in Pakistanis, Bangladeshis and Indian muslims is actually very very little. Proportionately only a tiny amount of Pakistanis could actually claim to be part central asian/iranian/arab as proven by dna.

Sir I have read many articles about how many astrologers there are per capita in hindustan, its quite astounding

my ancestors werent hindu….just for the record.

General, just think, if 300-400 years back, our Hindu ancestors had not converted to Islam, most Pakistanis would have been as superstitious as this guy. Indian Hindu politicians (even film stars) depend on their astrologers for everything, from setting dates of marriage to what time they should defecate, ha ha!.

quite peculiar that some of there rural people prescribe or are prescribed strange remedies to overcome problems. I’ve read about indian marrying dogs to overcome curses. I am really sorry for his family and himself for this strange mentality. He must have so much bacteria and fungoids growing on him. One need not go through Military Academy to know that hygiene, cleanliness and order in one’s life is so important for development. Thank God Almighty that our defence is strong and we have good enforcement of border on eastern front. Because i would be very moody if someone emitting foul odour entered into my Republic. 35 years? Tobah mere Tobah!!

Yusha: Read “Arms and the Man” by George Bernard Shaw. One of the characters says, “My father never took a bath in his life, and he died at the age of 98.”

Is he trying to prove something here?

Wouldn’t a person die if he didn’t take a bath that long?

    35 years and no bath….
wonder how he tolerates himself….someone should tell him that if he took a bath this minute he would miraculaously get a son and all his seven daughters will also turn into seven sons…that might convince him to take a bath 😀
