Taweez and Amils

It is compulsory for an Amil to ask for mother’s name to find out what kind of magic has been done and to what degree. They can also ask for father’s name but mother’s name is given preference in case the child is illegitimate. Some Amils ask for a piece of cloth, do an amal and measure the cloth before and after to find out if there is any magic. Others may use a thread. Many ask for money as they use very expensive musk for writing Taweez for wearing and drinking. Some may ask for money because they give a lot of their time.

Just because there are fake Amils out there does not make asking mother’s name, a piece of cloth, giving Taweez or asking for money wrong. There are fake doctors out there who give all sorts of wrong medicines. Does that mean it is wrong for all doctors in the World to give medicine? Or because there are fraud practitioners of medicine who ask for money, does it mean that no doctor in the World should ask for money?

    @Muhammed: You keep talking about indecency and disrespect from me. I think that is being a hypocrite. You are the one who keeps slandering and misleading. You slandered me as well a Amils, and then you post your comments which lack knowledge to advance your propaganda. I think you are the one who is indecent and disrespectful. Disrespectful for slandering and indecent for misleading. I am only stating all this so that you can see your hypocrisy.

    @Muhammed: When I say attempt at humour, I mean that you keep quoting from the Quran like a scholar to support your view on Blck Magic, and yet you told us yourself that you do not know much about this subject. To me, this is humourous.

    When I tell you to go back to Saudi Arabia, I don’t intend to say that to insult. I am serious. Your comments (which lack knowledge, depth and insight) will be appreciated there.

    @ UK Muslim: Asking for mother’s name has nothing to do with Muakkils. Also, Muakkils are not jinns.

    Mr. Yusha, your comments on my earlier reply is yet another example of your indecency and disrespect, please do check that Ayat, that’s what Allah says, there is nothing humorous about what Allah says. You take the words of the Allah in jest? On my part, there was No humour intended, is No humour intended, and will be No humour intended. I’ve included this Ayat again, so please do reflect upon it, and inshallah Allah, the Almighty, will guide us, you, me, and the readers.

    Surah Az-Zukhruf
    And verily, they (Satans / devils) hinder them from the Path (of Allâh), but they think that they are guided aright! (37)

    @UKMuslim: The people who ask the name of the patient and their mothers name are dealing with Jinns, and Moakkils, who are also Jinns (Qiraan). Capturing the Jinns is possible but only if the master of the jinns (Iblees) is worshiped (Astaghfurallah) or Allah’s words are so desecrated (Astaghfurallah) that Shaytaan is pleased with that person and helps by sends his “soldiers” to help the “alim”. Under these circumstances the so called “Alim” is outside the fold of Islam, and Allah (SWT) knows best.

    “Alims” who deal with the Jinns and “Holy” pious (righteous) people, who do not deal with the Jinns, are NOT the same. Allah (SWT), the Almighty, does not give Ilm to the “Alim” who deal with the jinns, they get it from the Shaytaan, NOT from Allah (SWT), and Allah knows best. “Alims” create a persona to fool people into thinking that they are “Holy”, far from it.

    In the Jinn dimension, there are good (Muslim) Jinns and there are bad Jinns, but to capture a jinn or moakkil (Jinn – Qareen), requires the Alim to practice Magic (Black or White – Witchcraft, Sorcery etc) that takes person outside the fold of Islam, and Allah knows best. Incidentally there different types of Jinns, in the sense that some are powerful and others are not, Allah (SWT), the Almighty, mentions them the Holy Quran, Marid, Ifreet, Qareen, etc. The head of these Jinns is Iblees. I Seek Refuge with Allah from the Shaytan, the Cursed.

    assalamu alaikum,

    there is nothing wrong with name and mothers name being asked as this allows muakkils possibly to confirm diagnosis.
    If allah has given a person ilm (i.e via a muakkil) and this person uses this to help somebody then there is nothing wrong. Righteous jinns help humans and those that are not help in evil.

    The main thing is the quran is used as a healing method alongside with allahs names.

    Mohammed: Jinns and Moakkils are two different things but I’m not going to waste my time explaining. Since you have made up your mind to call everything shirk I don’t think it will make a difference. The only thing I can tell you is to know just how big a sin it is to call something shirk that is not.

    Jinns and Moakkils are the same, If I’m not mistaken, “Moakkil” is a word describing a Jinn that is under the control of the Magician (Amil).

    If anyway asks Name and Mothers Name, or a piece of worn clothing, or nails, or hair or the patient, then please run in the opposite direction.

    Do RUQIYAH yourself or look for a RAQI, these people should never ask for the above information. Ruqiyah is done by reading certain Ayats or the Holy Quran and (Dua’s)Supplications done and taught by our beloved Prophet (PBUH). Probably the best place to ask is a pious person at your local Masjid or the Imam of the Masjid.

    May Allah the AllMighty protect us all from the Evils of the Shayateen, magicians, and the Evil Eye, Ameen

    The RAQI has to be pious, strong in his Iman and God fearing and know what he is doing, because the tribe of the posessing Jinn(s) may seek revenge and subsequently attack the Raqi or his family. and Allah knows best.

    All ask for mother’s name first and the patient’s name. People who have moakkils also have the same practice.

    It is unacceptable (Haram) to go to anyone who deals with Jinns or Taweez, whether Muslim or Non-Muslim. Any Muslim who deals with Jinn is outside the fold of Islam, and Allah knows best. People who deal with Jinn usually ask for the Name and Mothers name, or a piece worn cloth or nails, or hair etc. this is wrong (Haram), and Allah knows best.

    May Allah, The Almighty, guide us all to the true and pure understanding of Islam, based only on The Holy Quran and Sunnah of The Holy Prophet (PBUH), Ameen.
