32 year old Hind Ahmas was fined 150 euros (picture above) and was told to perform 15 days of citizenship service after she was caught wearing a veil in public, which she refused to remove. She risks a two year jail sentence and a €30,000 fine if she does not perform her citizenship service, which could make her the first woman ever to be jailed for wearing a veil.

There is no possibility of me removing the veil, Ahmas said. I’m not taking it off. The judge needs citizenship lessons, not me.

There are two arguments to the burka debate. One, that the ban on the face veil is against freedom of religion that the west prides itself on, and is an attack on Muslims. Two, that people should follow the rules of the country they live in, so women should not wear the veil.

    I am not an Alam, I have stated what I knew. I, you or anyonelse has no right to force our own way of thinking on others, be it Quranic teaching or anything else. We all are resposible for our own actions. Once again, women can wear hijab, burqa or niqab if they wish but it is not enforced from Quranic ruling.

    Obey Allah and its messenger does not mean what stories associated with Allah massengers by human are correct.Allah’s massenger would never state anything other than Quran. I know here I defer with many but again it is my believe and you have your own choices.

    Just Tell me, What does the following verses means?
    يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنكُمْ فَإِن تَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي شَيْءٍ فَرُدُّوهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَالرَّسُولِ إِن كُنتُمْ تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ ذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ وَأَحْسَنُ تَأْوِيلًا

    If we believe that we need other sources to understand Quran then we are questioning the completness of Quran. The Quran informs us that some enemies of the Prophet, described as “human and jinn devils,” will fabricate lies and attribute them to the Prophet (6:112, 25:31). This is precisely what happened after the prophet Muhammad’s death; Hadith (oral) and Sunna (actions) were invented and attributed to the Prophet.
    These innovations misguide because they: [1] defy the divine assertions that the Quran is complete, perfect, fully detailed, and shall be the only source of religious guidance (6:19, 38, 114 & 45:6-7), [2] create false doctrines based on superstition, ignorance, and indefensible nonsensical traditions.
    Some Muslims compromise: “If a Hadith agrees with the Quran we will accept it, and if it contradicts the Quran, we will reject it!” Such premise proves that these people do not believe ALLAH’s assertions that the Quran is “complete, perfect and fully detailed.” The moment they seek guidance from anything besides the Quran, no matter how “right” it seems, they fall into Satan’s trap (see 63:1). For they have rejected ALLAH”s word and set up another god besides ALLAH (18:57).

    The Prophet’s sole mission was to deliver Quran, the whole Quran, and nothing but Quran (3:20; 5:48-50, 92, 99; 6:19; 13:40; 16:35, 82; 24:54; 29:18; 42:48; 64:12). These Quranic facts are manifested in the historical reality that the words and actions (Hadith & Sunna) attributed to the Prophet did not appear until the second century after his death. The Quran has prophesied the fabrication of Hadith and Sunna by the Prophet’s enemies (6:112-115). The Quran teaches us that it was ALLAH ‘s will to permit the invention of Hadith and Sunna to serve as criteria for exposing those who believe only with their lips, not in their hearts. Those who are attracted to Hadith and Sunna are proven to be false believers (6:113).

    How to pray according to Quran? I would take the Ayat ( ) where All has commanded to pray the wey it is being prayed at Muqam e Ibrahim.

    @tayab: Can you refer to a single Ayat from Quran about how to say the daily 5 prayers??
    If not, (and ofcourse you cannot), then you will then move on to Hadees.. and quotes of Sahaba (RA) that how our Nabi used to say prayers..
    The same sahaba have quoted how our Nabi taught the muslim women to observer parda, and how those sahabiaat followed those teachings.. covering face was inclusive.

    But hard to convince someone if all these are ‘stories’ for that person.

    Allah hum sab ko hidayat ata farmaye.

    No need to cast shame on others. If you can refer any Ayat from Quran it will be good enough. If you quote stories then it will be a tradition not a religious ruiling. It is a typical Mulla approach where people get offended if other ask for proof.

    What’s your proof off full face veil not being a requirement of Islam?
    is Islam according to your understanding only?
    Should we discuss the Islamic fiqah here and not all the religious institutions about the ruling?
    Shame on or understanding of Islam and or method of learning it.

    Full face cover is not from the religion but from traditions and cultures. So lets not call it attack on religion. Modest dress is all that needed and pious heart. Islam can not be confined in Burqa or elsewhere.
