Jamshed Dasti: Would you hire this crook?

Jamshed DastiAsk yourself this simple question: a man has been proven to be a crook. Would you hire such a person? Would you trust him at all?

The president of Pakistan has done just that. Jamshed Dasti was found guilty of submitting a forged and fake degree to contest elections. He was unseated, and in any other civilized country, he would have faded into oblivion (if not sentenced to a jail term). Yet this man has been given a ticket by the ruling PPP government to contest a bye-election to the National Assembly from Muzaffargarh.

And this is not all. The ruling party, under the directions of the president of the country, has given tickets to others who also lost their seats for submitting fake degrees, and one of them is not even a member of the PPP (he belongs to the opposition PML-Q party).

The prime minister, who is supposed to be the new chief executive of the country after the 18th amendment, has no say in the matter. He protested feebly, of course, but was silenced by his boss (Zardari, who else?). He was told that his brother (Mujtaba Gilani) would be accommodated with a suitable government position.

So nothing has really changed. We’re still being ruled by crooks. I’m waiting for the day when Zardari gives party tickets to convicted criminals and murderers who have served their sentences. If that doesn’t move this nation, nothing will!

    Ladies and Gentlemen , Please think and act , what are you ( yes you ! ) doing about it , would you let your house be high jacked and burnt by the crooks , who have balatently captured Pakistan by high jacking .
    Do we not need the public opinion to rise and resist .
    In case of restitution of the Chief Justice and the independent judiciary , it was the public opinion , lawyers , media and the civil society that played an effective role .
    Dear pakistani public , please , please wake up , the water is rising beyond our heads , please wake up.
    Allah only changes the situation of the nation who help themselves.

    Of course a crook will hire another crook. In fact look at the whole cabinet which is a unique one in the world a complete array of convicts and crooks. On top of it Awam is also staying put despite the fact that every thing is out in the open.

    @James

    he didn’t know anything about sports either but he was the chairman of National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Sports. The ‘odiferous’ farm inhabitants at least could not complain about his performance so he will be relieved.

    @Hina: In my experience dairy farms are quite odiferous. Do you think the fellow actually knows anything about dairies and cattle?

    The only hope left for this country is the independent judiciary , public opinion and the Cyber Media like ” Chowrangi ”
    All three are humbly requested to orchestrate the eradication of such , brazen practices —— here is hoping . May Allah n help the people of Pakistan being gang raped by the establishment .

    @james.HAHA. good one james. He looks like most of the people in executive and effective positions in the country. No wonder Pakistan gets so much grant money for development and these people eat it all up without investing any in the interest of the citizens. Woudnt be flattered if we witness this guy with a fleet of cars soon!

    James: he’s a typical Pakistani politician, born crooked (like most of our parliamentarians). If our media hadn’t been free, this man might have even ended up being the prime minister of the country. Since he’s been exposed, and our president as well as his ministers like to have crooks around them, he will be a minister after getting elected. He’s already been made advisor to the prime minister, I hear. Crime does pay, after all, at least in Pakistan!

    @Shakir: Now tell me, old top, would you buy a used car from that guy? Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t really trust guys who part their hair in the middle. Are his eyes just a little bit too close together?
