Black Magic

Forces of Darkness (Part 1)

Evil or the forces of the darkness emerged with the emergence of Satan. Satan was infact a Jin and was elevated to the rank of leader of the Angels but when Allah Almighty created Adam and ordered all the Angels to bow before Adam, Satan refused. He said he was superior to Adam; hence he would not bow before Adam. He thought himself superior as he was made of fire while Adam was made of Mud. Angels are made of light and he was even leader of the Angels so he became jealous and compared himself with Adam and forgot Who gave the order. He disobeyed Allah’s Order and was deprived of all his ranks and was destined to Hell.

Satan became revenge full. He asked permission from Allah and said he would misguide humans from the right path if he was given time till the Judgement Day but he admitted he wont be able to misguide those who would be protected by Allah. He was given time and Satan started his work.

Satan has some powerful weapons with which he tries to misguide human. Among those include Magic, Unfaithful Jins, Nafs e Amara, Hamzat.

In this series we will discuss these one by one. Magic is defined as:

1. The art that purports to control or forecast natural events, effects, or forces by invoking the supernatural.

2. (a) The practice of using charms, spells, or rituals to attempt to produce supernatural effects or control events in nature.

(b) The charms, spells, and rituals so used. Black magic would be invoked to kill, injure, or cause destruction, or for personal gain.

Difference between Black and White is debatable but all forms of magic are black since it can’t bring any good. So its widely believed magic is black and is used for inflicting pain to others. Practicing magic is banned in many countries. In ancient times, kings used to have magicians with them in their courts and competitions were also held between magicians to show their skills.

We have seen movies like Hatim Tai and very famous lines like “Khul ja sim sim”. Words have powers associated with them and they act as codes. All you need to know the words. Words are repeated in a particular environment. Its like exercise which bring results after repetition. Its said that magicians read words of holy books in reverse order and by doing so they invoke forces of evil. Probably that is why they are condemned and will be given severe punishment by God.

Magicians also create dark environment to attract dark forces. They practice these things in dark rooms, with filth around. Its also said, that magicians or Amileens as they are commonly known, when are able to invoke dark forces, they do work/amal on things like locks and throw then in dark wells and filthy places after putting name of the person for whom the whole exercise is done. Mostly, the work is done either to break a marriage, bring someone’s business down, make someone fell ill and things like that only for the sake of putting evil to others and the amileens do it only for the sake of money.

Unfortunately, this thing is becoming common in Pakistan. With no check from government, these amils openly do business and erect large hoarding, claiming to provide you services if you need your beloved in your feet etc. Religious parties have never raise voice against this practice even when it’s strictly forbidden in Islam (and all other religions).

Watch any Islamic channels and you will be surprised to see, people calling from around the world in the programmes like Istikhara, asking the Maulana Sahib about their problems like continued illness, problems in marriages, tensions in families and financial problems. Mostly magic is mentioned the cause behind these problems and Maulana Sahib usually gives wazaifs with promise of unlocking the Bandish. But question is, is there anyone trying to stop these evil doers from doing this practice?

Most amileens are illiterate with no knowledge of religion and they can harm people with their practice. There is evidence of effects by Kufar to harm the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) by Magic and Allah gave the Last two Surahs of Quran to give him protection against magic and evil.

Its true that by reciting Quran Sharif and offering regular prayers, one can be saved from forces of evils but people are now vulnerable to dark forces due to present lifestyle. Its need of the time that Muslims should adopt Islamic lifestyle and also government should do something to stop people from selling evil in the markets.

    Brother Shahab ahmad,

    Assalam u Alaikum!

Its human nature to desire for more and more. Even if we get a mountain of Gold, we would desire for 2 more. We also try to be perfect in whatever we do, that’s alright (trying to be as good as possible) but we should keep in our minds that we couldn’t be perfect. It’s the Creator Who is Perfect. Our job is to do well as much as possible.

But the efforts shouldn’t be on one side i.e the life on earth. We as Muslims believe on life hereafter which is much bigger than this life, infact, it’s for infinite time.

So please evaluate your efforts which you have done so far for your life of the world and for the life hereafter and then you may judge yourself, where you need to do more.

    Brother Ibrahim: Assalam u Alaikum,

Some Parents and brothers are usually sceptical about the proposals which come directly through their girls. The notion of Love, due to various reasons, is not welcomed by many. The help of 3rd party like a senior colleague or respected relative may help in this case.

As regards, religious point of view, I think there is no concept of Love (as we see in movies or read in novels), in the religion. Its acceptable that as humans we may like someone or consider someone for marriage. Next step is involving the families and sending propasal. If accepted, its well and good. If not then no problem. There is no need to get depressed. Life is much more than our desires and wishes.

You should pray that Allah Almighty may grant this happiness to you if its better for both of you. Esle, He May make your heart strong enough to think ahead. That is what the meaning of dua e istikhara and InshAllah you will get what is Best for you.

    Assalamu Alaikum.

Thank you for replying back. Yes, I understand that life is not in winning or losing. I am a good mulsim and defintely my foremost love has always been for Allah. Sorry, I am not good at words, I didn’t want a cheating/black magic/or force to get someone. (Whatever allah wants and is right will happen I understand) I jsut wanted to read something to remove any dua/or anything that was maybe read on him. From my end, I have tried to talk to this guy and always waited for him and ready for him. This has always been between us, we never talked about this stuff with family, HE never wanted to but he keeps saying the same thing that look years have passed and nothing happned. (but he never tried, never told his family, or came for me) I know his mom and family knows. He is not my cousin, he is part of my sisters (in-laws family). The fact is that the mother wants one of her sons to marry her sisters daughter who lives in Europe and the daughter came to U.S. and likes this son and both his mom and hers have been and are doing everything to Force him to marry her for years. His own brothers have mentioned that the mom lately has been always reading alot of stuff/duas and they can tell he never was talking or being like that before and he all of sudden said he is going to marry her and for me not talk to him anymore. I feel sorry for him, even if he isn’t with me, i don’t want them force him and someone who for yrs said i dont want to marry her but doing it by Force and for the name of marriage and for mom. I know alot of people who went through that kinda marriage here in U.S., they are not happy and some who already have divorce. I did also do alot of sacrficies like that for my father/family and hurt very badly. After many yrs of suffering things changed and I started liking things again. I became very close to this guy and I never talk to or been with any other guy in my life. I just DON’T understand why god did that made him come through my life and me will be hurt again. I always pray to get an answer to guide me of my path or anything come to my dream but I don’t see. I understand whatever allah wants will happen. I wanted to try anything so it’s not too late for him like others.
Thank you for your valuable advise! InshaAllah I will try to follow what you said and hopefully get my answer soon.

Sister Sara: In my opinion (after going through some harsh realities of life) the reality of life/love is not in winning or losing, it is about how you played your role and made the right moves. It is just like a war. If you fought hard and did everything in your means to achieve your goal you will have no remorse even if you fail. But if you slacked in the battle and chose the wrong means (like magic or cheating etc) this remorse will not leave you ever after. Remember the real winning and losing will be on the judgment day.

Also do remember as being Muslims our foremost love is for Allah and his Rasool (SAW). This is the real love.

    According to Hadith Sharif:
It is reported from Anas (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, “None of you believes until I am more beloved to him than himself and what he possesses and his son and father and all people.” ‘Umar (RA) said, “O Messenger of Allah, you are more beloved to me than everything except my self which is between my sides.” So he (SAW) said to him, “You will not be a believer until I am more beloved to you than your self.” So ‘Umar (RA) said, “By He who revealed the Book to you, you are more beloved to me than my self.” So the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, “Now, ‘Umar, your iman is complete.”

    In another narration:
The Messenger of Allah (SAW) was asked, “When will I be a believer (or in another variant, a sincere believer)?” He answered, “When you love Allah.” It was asked, “And when will I love Allah?” He replied, “When you love His Messenger.” It was said, “And when will I love His Messenger?” He said, “When you follow his Path, apply his sunna, love with his love and hate with his hate, and choose friends those he befriends and choose enemies by his enmity. People differ in faith according to their difference in love of me, and they differ in kufr according to their hate for me.”

I haven’t quoted these Hadith for just quotes sake. A time comes in one’s life when only this love becomes ones lifeline and the thread by which one’s life hangs to.

Life is full of surprises, it is always a new beginning when one thinks it is the end of everything. We must also remember life is not a game. If it is a game it is a game of eternity where we have to live with our choices we make in this world for an eternity to come.

As per my knowledge and experience no parents can cast black magic on their children. If it is black magic then it has some apparent evidence on “both” the persons who are in love. You get to feel it but could not name it like whisperings, dreams etc. In your case I think your would be mother in law just doesn’t like you for any reason. The most likely being that simply you love his son. Mothers just don’t realize this fact that after a certain age their son can belong to someone else. This is usually the basis of you know the Saas/Bahu quarrels both before and after marriage. This is also one of the drawbacks of our joint family system that is most frequent.

Coming back to the topic what you should do now? Forget that Black magic thingy. I believe your cousin is sacrificing his love for the sake of his mother. Morally you have the right to know why he took that first step if he could not keep his word? But your rights are not written anywhere and you can’t claim anything from him BUT you can claim everything from Allah as he is the creator and this is he who makes all these tests for the believers. For this you will have to sacrifice your sleep, wake up before Fajr prayer when everyone else is sleeping and in the Tahajjud prayers ask your aim from your Lord and “no one” else. Ignore your cousin. Don’t call him, these will be your prayers that will call him. Also do ask your lord that you become beloved both in your cousin’s and in your aunt’s eyes. And to be content with your Lords decision in your favor whatever it is.

Remember a saying by I think Imam Ghazali that a bucket of water on a stone doesn’t do much but if a drop continuously falls on it, it will make a hole right through it. InshaAllah with your patience you will do it. I can’t recommend any specific prayer other than offering your five daily prayers as if you see Allah and with love. If you want to do more go to this link and follow it:

To win you must purify yourself as in Quran 87-14:”He/she indeed shall be successful who purifies him/herself”. This is the formula of true success if you believe.

Sister Dania: I believe you have some work to do at your hands. First and foremost please let go those negative emotions about your father in law. How come he be so evil if he accepted a lady like you to be his bahu? He is basically sick (medical terminology will term such a person as schizophrenic but we know it is beyond the realms of what modern medicine says and knows) and a puppet in someone else’s hands who is pulling his threads. First he needs treatment, a loving treatment. Don’t treat him as if he is someone bad. Give him respect and love even if he scolds you and everybody else in the home to any extent. This is a common occurrence in such type of patients/sufferers of magic and I have seen much of it. Ask everybody especially your mother in law and your husband to greet him with smiles whenever he enters the home and to be patient to whatever he says.

Basically these are evil spells that create rift in both yours and his hearts against each other. At least try yourself not to be a victim of evil. At this stage I sincerely recommend the 40 grands:

    http://shadhilitariqa.com/site/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=18&Itemid=15

Start with on time prayers for 40 days i.e. the 40 grands with the usual precautions like showing no anger etc. Simultaneously start the Dua Hizb-ul-Bahr. Around once to thrice daily. One needs the ijazah to start the due in a particular way but I believe once you are in the tariq you automatically get the ijazah. Still it is recommended to get the ijazah (don’t ask me from where). Basically Hizb-ul-Bahr makes a protective circle around you/your home and for the person/s you are reciting for to protect them from magic. You also need full time zikr of Allah ta’ala, you may get more information about zikr from the link posted above.

And please remember “not to” recite the dua for the destruction of enemies (maqhuria aada) usually given at the end of Hizb-ul-Bahr found in books available here. As then you will be exposing yourself directly to great dangers and your 40 grands will stand cancelled by cursing. I think it is enough for now. Just keep us posted. (You may find the Dua in Arabic on the internet or at the end of Dalail-e-Khairat book published by Taj Company)
