Syed Qaim Al Shah, Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq, Zulfiqar Mirza, Tarique Masood Arain and Nisar Ahmad Khuhro all the Pakistan People’s Party leaders in the Sindh Assembly were indifferent about the fact what their “Jayalas” were doing to the former chief minister of Sindh Dr. Arbab Ghulam Rahim.
Qaim Ali Shah had the audacity to say that it was the public reaction and it was basically a tit for tat for the former chief minister. When Arbab Ghulam Rahim came to the assembly to cast his ballot, he was beaten hard and abused harsh by the hyper-active activists of PPP, and they blamed Arbab for the murder attempt of late Benazir Bhutto in Karsaz, Karachi, last year.
Now that is not the way to express the anguish and anger against the political opponent. At one side, the co-chairman of PPP Asif Ali Zardari is showing brotherhood with every living thing in sight, and on the other hand, his party workers are mocking the so-called national reconciliation.
Though after the incident, Dr. Arbab overplayed the whole incident just to garner some badly needed sympathy comments and coverage, which he duly got, but the essence of the thing is that PPP should not repeat the blunders of their opponents of past.
