Will Taliban return?

Taliban Certain things are usually considered as bad omens, never to be discussed or some what taboo if i use this word in the right sense…the same feed back is recieved when the question of a Taliban (zaliman) come back espècially in swat is taken up.

The perception is not at all based on just some writing on the wall, but infact it is the trend which we have seen in Afghanistan even. After being cornered to the snow covered peaks in winters,they have always managed to regroup and attack usually termed as “summer offensive”,as the condition suits them in their type of warfare.

As I referred earlier to this as a bad omen because of its implication,this cannot be ignored. During a recent conversation with a native who has seen all, I was struck by his words that “dont count them out,there backers can make them return with tanks even!”….hmm.

We are one proud nation as we have the best troops nd also the bravest people who stood against the bandits turned Taliban, but with so many judicial, political struggle mixed with conspiracies taking place, a leadership which is yet to display mere common sense, top ranking terrorist on the run, their financial trail yet to be exposed and an army whose front line is stretching day by day….may be its better that this question may b asked or atleast considered……May ALLAH bless this land of pure and its heavenly valley’s like swat….AMEEN

    No, Taliban are just like that because they are simply following the quran and true islamic principles.

    Spratt, here is a shocker for you. The best batsman of the Pakistani team was a Christian but he had convert to Islam just to survive in the team. If this is the condition of high profile sports persons then you can imagine what happenED to the minorities in that country. Most of them have been systematically cleansed and eliminated in the last 60 years.

    The founder of Pakistan was married to a non Muslim and had a daughter. When Pakistan was formed, his family stayed back in India because they did not want anything to do with it. Also the founder disowned his own daughter for marrying a non Muslim…exactly what he had done earlier.

    Confused?????? don’t be…its Pakistan, you know.

    James: as long as people like some on this blog refuse to accept reality, there will never be peace on earth. The Taliban are jsut like “secular” Indian Hindus who think it’s OK to kill and destroy just because they’ve been brainwashed into believing that their Muslim rulers did the same thing 400 years ago.

    Yeah, they’ll keep coming back as long as evil manipulators keep giving them guns instead of decent jobs. Whatever happened to “management?” There has to be some forgiveness, too; a lot of them must believe they’re so far in that there’s no going back, no way out.

    The idea as terrifying it is does have substance in it! As given the rumors of peace talks and putting the operations on hold will further boast the morals of Taliban. On the good side the reports of the death of Taliban chief Hakim-ullah if confirmed would be another blow. Negotiations can take place but the pressure must be maintained

    @shakir
    they must b referring to the “zaliman” trained at those special consulate!

    Now India has also said it can do business with the Taliban! I wonder how “secular” India can talk to such bigoted fundamentalists (unless of course the talk is about how to destroy Pakistan).

    I hope they don’t return too, but it hasn’t been them all along the way. There have been Indians and Americans in Taliban gear killing people. Also, the U.S. has killed more Muslims than Taliban will be able to kill in 100 lifetimes.

    @Hira Mir: Well said.

    @hina safdar. I agree. Hope not. Just imagine the damage Pakistan has faced due to them. In the last year Pakistan faced 500 attacks and thousands of lives were taken in the name of religion. Taliban believe this will take them to heaven. It is foolish!!

    Hopefully not……….
