In the current scenario of the worst humanitarian crisis, it is the high time not only to recognize friends and foes amongst our global contacts by the government but also to ensure disaster management and improved economic and political situation within the country.
Since its birth, India has been considered an enemy for Pakistan, which has also been proven right in the history. Till now it is evident that we can not call it a Friend. During the riots of 1971 when a foreign reporter asked Indira Gandhi about the guerrilla activities and Indian support to Mukti Bahini, she in spite of denying Indian involvement and condemning these acts cross question that how could we allow these kind of massacre to carry on? Can we allow continuing human assault and women abuse? Proving that, she admits that India has been involved in the riots and supports the rebels. In my opinion things haven’t changed now.
Isn’t India an enemy?
Peace cannot be achieved through violence; it can only be attained through understanding.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
On the other hand America is considered to be a fair-weather friend by the establishment and government. Most of the Pakistanis have strong opinion about American acts and its decisions regarding internal affairs of Pakistan. America is a super power but it can not dictate any independent state to follow what it commands. Our government kept requesting for aid whenever there is a need. There are countries like Somalia who had been through fierce times but they didn’t beg in front of any one. America always ready to give aid but not Trade. The nuclear arsenal of Pakistan is main concern for it as the story of fox news by Rowan Scarborough unveils.
The United States has a detailed plan for infiltrating Pakistan and securing its mobile arsenal of nuclear warheads. American intelligence sources say the operation would be conducted by Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), the super-secret commando unit stationed at Pope Air Force Base, North Carolina and at nearby Fort Bragg, NC.
JSOC is United State military’s chief terrorists hunting squad and has units now operating in Afghanistan on Pakistan’s western border. But a secondary mission is to secure foreign nuclear arsenals — a role for which JSOC operatives have trained in Nevada.
“JSOC units have reportedly been involved in a number of covert military operations over the last two decades. Some of these operations include providing assistance to Italian authorities during their search for kidnapped US Army Gen. James Dozier, participating in Operation Urgent Fury; the US invasion of Grenada, planning a rescue attempt of US hostages being held in Lebanon, rescuing hostages being held aboard the cruise liner Achille Lauro, participating in Operation Just Cause; the US intervention in Panama, directing US Scud hunting efforts during Operation Desert Storm, conducting operations in support of UN mandates in Somalia, and searching for suspected war criminals in the former Republic of Yugoslavia.” [Sourcewatch]
