What does he/she want?

What does Ali Saleem, a.k.a., “Begum Nawazish Ali” want? Let’s analyze. Does he/ she want some people to pity his possible deep emotional trauma; to ponder and sympathize on just what is it that compels him/ her to dress as a woman and put on that highly entertaining façade in front of the dear masses. That beneath all that “glamorous” appeal, there ‘lies’ a sober, sensible man in search of a maiden who would become his/ her wife? We learnt long ago that people do antisocial things to attract attention. To create a stir. To be different. Breaking taboos.

What is the confusion here?

It is not freedom of expression. Everything has limits. We have all heard that going out of limits “disturbs the balance”. Well, whose balance? Not the Universe’s. The person’s own balance. And that of the masses’ who fall for that imbalance. These entertainers sit on the threshold of great responsibility (namely, media), and actively participate in blowing away the last vestiges of sanity, if any left. Everyone who has been a guest on his/ her show has supported this growing insanity.

Oh, our enemies have succeeded. I love the movie “The Devil’s Advocate” for depicting exactly how Satan mislead and continues misleading man. John Milton (Al Pacino), the devil in the movie said:

“Who, in their right mind Kevin, could possibly deny the twentieth century was entirely mine.”
And Kevin Lomax (Keanu Reeves), the protagonist replies:

“Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven”, is that it?”

John Milton: “I’m here on the ground with my nose in it since the whole thing began. I’ve nurtured every sensation man’s been inspired to have. I cared about what he wanted and I never judged him. Why? Because I never rejected him. In spite of all his imperfections, I’m a fan of man! I’m a humanist. Maybe the last humanist.”

Heck, I can go on and on and copy/ paste the dialogues from that thought provoking movie. Tossing another one for equal measure:

John Milton tells Kevin Lomax,

“You sharpen the human appetite to the point where it can split atoms with its desire; you build egos the size of cathedrals; fiber-optically connect the world to every eager impulse; grease even the dullest dreams with these dollar-green, gold-plated fantasies, until every human becomes an aspiring emperor, becomes his own god… and where can you go from there?”

And:
“And as we’re straddling from one deal to the next, who’s got his eye on the planet, as the air thickens, the water sours, and even the bees’ honey takes on the metallic taste of radioactivity? And it just keeps coming, faster and faster. There’s no chance to think, to prepare; it’s buy futures, sell futures, when there is no future.”

My apologies for deviating. There is a link though to how the devil deludes us and how we fall for his mischief. Even fools can see that this modus operandi of the media does not actually liberate our minds. It sends down a creepy feeling and an intuitive understanding that something has gone wrong here. Accepting the unacceptable and shunning the better ways is a serious point of concern and a glaring arrow pointing towards the menace we are facing. Our nation is ill.

Ha! so much for freedom of speech! considering past certain events. And I agree with you on every point! we have strove very hard to become perverse, audacious, obstinate creatures questioning and turning our backs to the single greatest Truth. calling such beings even creatures sounds odd. ‘creatures’ denotes a sense of endearment between the Creator and the created.

Trust me .. i am lazy .. or should i say to occupied with work to do it. I just log on and see what is going on and all of a sudden i go crazy.
Brokeback mountain … i have it on a shelf, but likewise, i still have to muster up the courage to see that kinda stuff .. even if for the sake of analysis.
The thing about Ali Saleem’s behavior.
Tell me one thing. Why do we need a religion to start with. Is it just a social binding on us to be associated with one or the other?
Or it is required only for the sake of persecution of those who dont live according to confines of what we believe in? We pray, but do we really believe that someone from heaven’s above will really help us out in any manner???
The requirement of religion comes from a thinking mind. A mind which is agitated to find the reasons to be alive. What is whole point of existence, if all has to end one day and there is no tomorrow. Hence we have a religion.
Islam is not a religion. It is a complete code of life. It is not about what to pray, how to pray, what to eat and what not to eat. It about, how to live.
Allah says about quran that it has indications for those who understand.
If you happen to have closely analyze the DOs and DON’Ts of Islam, you shall find out that they are so close to COMMON SENSE. They appeal to you, only since they are REALITY BASED and does not require you to act in a supernatural / out or human capability way of life.
If Quran says, dont drink, well do we have any doubt that drinking makes us lose our mind, our reasoning ability and hence we commit acts both moral and physical that cannot be justified by any logical manner. Hence here, common sense prevails. If Islam says, dont eat pork. Apart from the obnoxious mating behavior of this partucluar animal, now doctors all around the world can give you a 5 hour lecture on the downsides of eating pork.
I seriously can go on for pages here 🙂 on the common sense of Islam. but after making an effort to home in a point of religion and common sense, i fall back to the subject at hand.
It is our lack of knowledge that is the root cause of all the issues. Going against, a direct order of Islam, needs no explanation or justifications on part of any perpetrator. This person is in complete violation of an order given by Quran, the words of Allah Almighty himself. Why people dont stand against it and ask the so called open media of pakistan to put an end to this blasphemy. Lack of knowledge my dear friend, pure lack of knowledge. People might consider it to be an uncomfortable thing to see a cross dresser on TV. But how many out of them really know, that it has been rebuked in Quran and such people have been declared Jahanmmi. You see, we are not dealing with the sick soul of a man, but that of a complete society. We have evolved ourselves into a strange Muslim race. We are more concerned with rites and rituals than the real message itself. We like to cover the Quran in the most expensive cloth, place it at the highest point in the room, even above the doors we walk through, but never bother to see or understand what is there. We have belittled our selves to the Inshallah, Mashallah and SubhanAllah, saying muslims. A Mustanad Hadees goes on to say that none of us can be complete Muslim, till the time we choose that for our brother, what we choose for ourselves. Take a look around. Count the number of Momins you find, based on this Hadees.
Wrong will always remain wrong. You know it and i know it. Do you think that the others dont. They surely do, but fail to come to the standards required to say, that it is wrong. Even in the heart of his heart, this darg queen also knows that he is wrong. But if Allah has decided and put a mohar(stamp) on his heart. then trust me, i dont feel sorry for him at all. He has chosen not to see the indications Allah has given for those who understand. He needs help, and instead we applaud his deplorable condition. Who supports such people. The diseased ones themselves. I leave you with a statement. “Sin needs a companion. Virtue stands tall on its own”. think over it.

Lucifer. Gawdddd i want to sleep .. but you have stirred another storm in me. so here goes.

Do you think, that Iblees has any doubts on the Oneness of Allah. Or for that matter on the Supreme Power the Al-mighty holds in the universe. When Allah Almighty, sentenced Ibless to hell, to be burnt there for eternity, then why did he ask for life till the end of time.
Iblees has no doubt that Allah Almighty is the One. He controls all and all in the entire universe. Iblees also knows for sure that he will burn in hell, since it is Allah’s Command. Then if such a fate is assured for him, y ask for sometime. Why ask for a leverage in the execution of this sentence?

He did not ask for a relaxation to buy more time for himself, or for that matter to even think that he will be safe. He asked this time, since he HATES mankind so so much. He believes that MAN is responsible for his misfortune. It was man, who has taken him down from the pedestal of virtue and fated him to the fires of hell. And in his sheer hatred, he asked Allah for a leverage so that he could come down on earth and make sure, that he takes along as many of our kind as possible to hell with himself. Khud to doobay hain, tumko bhi lay doobaingay Sanam.

And all that he makes us do today, is not for his hatred against the Almighty, but for his hatred against Man. He is sure of his fate. He has no doubt that he is destined to burn. Now he wants to make sure that he takes along the maximum of us along with him to burn as well.
Such is the hatred of Lucifer, against us. And we…. the humans, now even go to the extent of questioning the decision of Allah Almighty with regards to Lucifer. ( i once saw a drama in All-Pakistan Drama Festival in GIKI, back in 2005, in which the director from NCA Lahore tried to justify or present the version of Lucifer’s story to the crowd) such blasphemy, and right in the heart of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
So much for freedom of action and speech. I often ask my self, are we ready to take on such a enormous responsibility of Freedom of Speech and Action on our own, un-supervised????
    what do you think ???

Hey Ice Awan, I don’t think u’re lazy at all! your comments are enlightening posts in themselves! why don’t u post articles? 🙂
as for the national geographic showing that program on such freaks, well, i agree, such a condition may persist. But i also know about “Brokeback Mountain” and its theme. it’s being shown on HBO nowadays but i didn’t have the stomach to watch it. my point is, that propaagtion of any idea is not difficult. show anything in a convincing way and people will start believing it. one should be wary of believing amany things the media tells us. there are numerous psychiological diseases, but then peopel might take them as pretexts for the way they behave and act crazily.
If Ali was a normal man, he should have remained so. sorry, but that disease cannot be taken as a pretext again! it is a disease, but that of the soul. make any taboo thing rampant and open, peopel will start thinking there’s nothing wrong with it.
Allah has told us what is right and what is wrong. a sin is a sin, no matter if it’s committed in a little excess or larger one.

I agree with you. why does he/she say such atrocious things? that’s unacceptable. again, we come to the pint of accepting and unaccepting. wrong has become right and right has become wrong. taht is why our nation is sick.

Bout Lucifer, well, i see only wrongs about him. no rights. the thing that caught my interest in “Devil’s Advocate” was how brilliantly they have shown how Lucifer misleads man. and i loved how Kevin Lomax refused him and was given a second chance. only if we had enough sense to do the same.
phew, i ramble a lot! but it was invigorating to see ur comment. thank you.

thank god someone started the topic …. thank you so so very much
Now this Cross-Dressing / transvestite we call Ali Saleem aka Begum Nawazish. It is really really a great pity to see a man like this. Let me shed some light on the subj. What he suffers from is a disease. A mental / psychological deformity. It is medically known as Sexual Identity Crisis. Men or woman who are not satisfied in their gender and tend to cross over to the other side. The severe cases we see, gender altering operations. National Geographic ran a complete documentary on such freaks, some time back. Interesting stuff to watch, only if you have a strong stomach 😀
So the guy is clearly a SIC case. He takes more pleasure in wearing a dress and putting on make up, than being a normal man. They are also commonly known as cross dressers or transvestites. Mariam Dictionary defines the word as “A person, especially a male, who adopts the dress and often the behaviour of the opposite sex”. Ali Saleem very cleanly fits into the definition. The question is, whether he adorns the same attire in his private life as well. I am sure he does. How? Well i am sure he must be comming up with ideas of behaviour / dresses / small talks and styles in his private time. And that must have been so embedded in his personality that it must be difficult to get rid of, even if he wishes to. The only reason i see for him, not to come on other TV shows dressed as a woman, is because, i guess Pakistan still is not ready for a full grown Transvestite celebrity as yet. The drag queen of Pakistan, does show a manly appearance at times, by growing a stubble, or wearing manly clothes. But as i mentioned earlier, his behaviour, even when dressed as a man, is very feminine.
    2. Even if you put this entire issue in the light of Islam, and see this matter religiously, the picture is not that pretty for the drag queen. Islam, has promised “Laanat” on such men who ever dress up as women. Period. There are no second choices or opinions. If you have cared to notice, Ali Saleem, used to be a good looking guy. But with the passage of time, he has practically become a guy with a lot of “Nahoosat” on his face. I guess, going totally in contrast with the religion has also not suited his shape.
I also wrote to AAJ TV, to stop making a mockery of freedom of expression / speech. But as you may know, they never bothered to reply or for that matter pay heed to my words.
One factor that i have failed to understand is, “since we all know that he is a MAN, dressed as a Woman, therefore he is allowed to say things, which if a normal person, utters on TV, would probably bring him a lot of rebuke and criticism”. Why is that so? We are allowing an ABNORMAL person, to get away with everything. To try and be sexy (i am gonna throw up here a bit) and still get away with that. If the same is done by a NORMAL person, then GOD HELP HIM.
The bottom line is, the guy should be discouraged. The guy should be rebuked, the guy needs professional help. On a very personal note, i think he might as well be a gay. Stats do show that such queers have a whole lot chance of being a homosexual than a normal dude. Something in the lines of 60 plus percent.

This is what happens when we forget who we are. This is a classic case study of lack of direction. In out efforts of being termed as a modern society, we have practically turned into a pack of rabies infected wild dogs. We just want to be different. Not what we are. This guy should be taken to a mental institution and helped, rather we make em sit on the tube and the most saddening part is that, the cream of our society, the literary geniuses of this country, the great political leaders come and have their turns at the cost of his CHASKAAS. How sad can we get.
I think i have gone on enuff about the whole issue. I could go on for another 55 pages 😛 .. but the moderator might kick me, if i do so.

As far as “The Devil’s Advocate” is concerned, you better start a new topic over it. We shall debate on the rights and wrongs of the Lucifer there.
Once again, thank you for starting this thread. I am too lazy my self to do anything of that sort 😀 😀 😀
