Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, Haji Muhammad Ashraf and Mohammad Ahmed Bahaziq, are “subject to the assets freeze, travel ban and arms embargo,” set out in Security Council resolution 1822 of 2008, said the al-Qaida and Taliban Sanctions Committee. The United Nations Security Council sanctions committee targeted four members of Pakistani banned outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), blamed for the Mumbai attacks, for assets freeze and other sanctions.
The advisor to Prime Minister for the interior affairs Rehman Malik has said that India hasn’t given any proof to Pakistan and that means that India hasn’t even given any proof to the security council of United Nations, so especially when the Pakistani rep wasn’t aware of any such happening in the UN, is very strange.
Pakistan is a peace loving country and has sacrificed most in the war against terror, and in these circumstances, its very very strange that UN has moved in this fashion, and especially when the same organization applauded the role of Jamat ud Dawa during its relief work of earth quake in 2005.
These double standards give rise to the scrooge of terrorism.
