Still Time to Restore Them

As the new government hotly pursues the footprints of the previous government in a very clumsy way and the same results starts to bear upon the nerves of the Pakistanis and the reality sets to get underway, the extent of public enthusiasm and support that was still there not so in much distant past is eroding and it reflects the commitment of the people across the country to the change they want.

The biggest change factor and the ray of hope for the Pakistani people is the deposed justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhary, who represents the change. Change in the face of subjugation and change in the face of terrorism, both domestic and foreign. People of Pakistan are mature enough to appreciate the fruits of supremacy of justice and constitution.

The restoration of the judiciary – and the central figure that continues to symbolize defiance against tyranny remains Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry. No matter how much, the cronies of Asif Ali Zardari try to undermine him and his colleagues, he stays there sparkling with the hope of change.

The condemnable role of PPP ministers and members continues to raise some bothersome questions.
