Javed Miandad is one of the pioneer of Pakistani cricket and he is one of the reasons why Pakistanis love thier game. He is the reason behind many successes of the Pakistani cricket and he has remained an icon for the emerging youth of Pakistan for many a decades now. He cannot be ruled out of the Pakistani cricket ever, and once again PCB has recalled him in the time of urgency, which is a very nice and fine step and must be appreciated.
Former captain Javed Miandad is all set to join Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) as a governing board member. Miandad will return to the board since he was forced to step down as coach in 2004 following Pakistan’s loss in a home series against India, and though he wasn’t at fault but like a gentleman he took responsibility and got aside. Four former Test players, Saleem Altaf, Majid Khan, Wasim Bari and Aamer Sohail are said to be in line to get important positions in the new set-up, which is also a very welcome step.
Miandad and the new chairman of PCB and the other senior players must take the challenge professionaly and they must ensure that cricket gets on the track smoothly and rapidly. Nation needs them.
