Reality Should be Foremost

While the reigns of powers in the United States are changing hands and the new administration of Barack Obama has already asserting its authorities though they will officially begin their rule earlier next year, the edifice of change promise is already crumbling, as far as the foreign policy of US is concerned.

But the alarming and not-so-unexpected thing is that our rulers; President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani think that this change in the faces will bring about a huge change and that is why they have stopped talking to the present setup and they are now in waiting state for the new US administration.

But the Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah is not that stupid. He has asserted the things rightly and timely. He has cautioned his supporters against expecting a change in American foreign policy with the election of Senator Barack Obama. He has also predicted the continuation of the policies.

That is so true, as the politics and interests are a different ball game and at the international level, no Obama could change that, even if he would have wanted to do so.
