I, at Chowrangi, am very glad over the sweet coming of twins in Kingri house. What a day, what blissful news. When some years back, Pir Sahib Pagaro left his old wife Razia Begum, some stupid journalists predicted that now Pir Sahib will just concentrate on “Piring”, but his recent grand marriage and the eventual outcome has shut the mouths of many forever. Twins comprise of one son and one daughter. The same day, a son also came to the home of the son of Pir Sahib, so the family grew by three in total.
Pir Sahib must be a very happy person, and so are we. But it’s hard to believe that Chaudhry Shujaat will be savoring it as much, as he has got three more adversaries to tackle with. And this comes in those times, when his PML-Q is disintegrating with a fast steady pace. Lotas are revolving and some are going towards PPPP, and the rest to PML-N. Some are so desperate that they are opting for Tehrik-e-Insaf.
It has been made very clear to him that his utility for the military regime is over, and he is not needed anymore. It was made crystal obvious to him, when he protested in front of General Musharraf about the Musharraf’s deal with Benazir. US feels that Shujaat & Co. has not been successful in fighting war against terrorism, and Benazir would be a far much better option to massacre the Muslims in Pakistan. Benazir has also ensured her masters in Washington and London that she would facilitate them in every possible way, and she is all set to do anything against anything remotely anti-US. She just needs that Kursi, that’s it.
Despite letting down Musharraf and US, Shujaat has also not been successful in winning the hearts of common Pakistanis. As a president of Lota party, he already hadn’t any respect, and with the rising prices, un-employment, grave law and order, extreme poverty, police-terrorism, hoarding, wheat scandal, load-shedding, and other curses, people are just fed up of them.
Though Musharraf has given some artificial respite to Shujaat by allowing him to try and undermine deal. So that is why Shujaat has said his famous remark about NRO, “Raat Gai Baat Gai.” He is trying to give the impression that Benazir was trying to deceive them, and they were trying to deceive her, and they won. It’s quite entertaining to see the leaders of PML-Q and PPPP haggling with each other on the T.V programs.
But whatever it is, the days of PML-Q and Chaudhris of Gujarat are numbered for sure.
