Petition against Pak Suzuki Motor Company

Pak Suzuki Motor has been spewing out vehicles in Pakistan for almost 25 years now. This post speaks out on the behalf of those people who are the victim of low quality production and highly un-user friendly approach of this plant.

The end-product a customer gets from this plant after a painfully lengthy period is simple a heap of bland garbage. For instance I recently got my Mehran Suzuki Car from a local dealer in Rawalpindi almost 2 months ago and still hasn’t been able to experience the smooth functioning of vehicle. There were many manufacturing faults in it from the outset. Major manufacturing faults were faulty hand brake, loose doors, substandard rubbers, dried up bushes, ill-fitted window glasses. The Rs. 350000+ vehicle hadn’t even got simple cheap things like mud flaps, seat covers, and other small things. Automobile mechanics themselves advice that one has to replace many parts of a new vehicle in order to get some sort of relief.

This state of affair is absolutely unacceptable. If you share the pain, frustration and humiliation, then please join hands to protest against this high-handedness of Pak Suzuki Motors Company by signing the following petition:

Petition against Pak Suzuki Motor Company

@ Yasir: yes,I emailed the link to this post to them, but got no answer sofar.

@ Tayyab: vitz seems to be a good option.

@ Hassan: I wish it would be true. It would be more appropriate, if they stop making cars at all.

I m agree with all of u, those r just stuck up with suzuki,
some days ago, i was searching for a personal car, a dealer told me that u have to submit ur whole money (5,20,000 including own and metallic colour choice)thn v will deliver u ur car after minimum 2.5 months, i was realy shocked, thn i visit a local showroom, n buy a VITZ for just 4,45,000) its drive is wonderful, very comfortable, so u can buy the cheaper ones instead of these ****ed up SUZUKI

ONE THING MORE I WANT TO MENTION, THAT EVERY SPARE PART IS AVAILABLE IN THE MARKET OF VITZ, SO NO WORRY, JUST DO HURRY

    Regards

Can you all please forward these comments to Suzuki Japan so that they might take notice of these issues. As you cant expect any favour either from Government of Pakistan or Suzuki Pakistan is solving such critical issues. As we all know the Government of Pakistan is a big choor as always since its creation and how can they control the quality after filling their own pockets.

@ Mehar Naeem: When I read your latest comment, for a moment, I thought my suzuki car is speaking. If she could talk, I am sure she would talk as you do.

Ahsan Hasan, you just ripped apart my belly as I laughed so hard when you called me a “Madam”. O the ignorant suzuki buyers of this country. I am a man, my dear buddy. Due to ignorances like this, you cant see the virtues of Suzuki cars.

    Alas.

and Atif, I suck because I speak truth.

Ya. Thats a good one. The consumer is supposedly to be the king, but unfortunately he is being treated like a dog. (sorry to say).

There is absolutely no concept of Customer Oriented Marketing in Pakistan. These discussions seem to be limited only to text books of Philip Kotler. WHY? because of lawlessness, absence of Customer Rights enforcing agencies and Monopoly of Suzuki.

People have no other way but to go with the option of buying these cars (by the way they’re not crazy for them, but they go crazy after buying them).

Ofcourse if you’ve got connections, and enjoy good relationship with the dealers of somebody in Suzuki Top management your sure to get quick delivery of your car, some mud pads, seat covers and on top of that excellent after sales service. But how many of us really have access to that?

So what to do? Frankly nothing can be done. This is not just Suzuki we’re talking about in general it’s become part of our culture.

    P.S> Mehr Naeem still sucks!

I have been running my Suzuki dealership for 5 years now in Lahore, after doing my MBA. Millions of people are crazy about Suzuki. So in comparison of million of these people, hue and cry of these 40 people is worth nothing.
    Majority is authority.

    Dear Madam,

Great honour you take in having the suzuki dealership that you do. Let me remind you the un-educated, illetrate class that has a lot of money to spend and dont know how to do it end up buying loads of suzuki’Z and oh there is more to it the literate class are pushed to buy them suzuki automobiles because they are blank cheques and are easy to sell, that too because the second hand market is also not literate enough OR dont understand the utility that they are getting from the vehicle that they are spending their money on not to mention there isnt a second best choice available in the market for the range of products that suzuki is offering in particular the 800CC and 1000CC vehicles. However Madam even these people are slowly opening their eyes to the current scenario. Suzuki by all means is an “ALL PEOPLES” car however the quality of this all people’s car is sub-STANDARD. As a Suzuki owner and as a Pakistani ( a literate one) i would suggest that people like you address Quality & Standard issues to the manufacturers since the dealers are directly in contact with them. Lets for example take an example. The suzuki APV is a japanese assembled vehicle and a glance at it shows it all. The Liana Eminent & the sport have intellignt ECU’z and are good at mileage and running however the entire finish quality isnt up to the mark although not SUB-STANDARD. To compete with the local and international market suzuki needs to put a lot of effort into their brands and need to emphasize retention of these quality standards. Otherwise alowly and steadily Suzuki will loose this largest market share that they have. Madam you have done your MBA and so have i and i am sure like me you also know that in sales and marketing Consumer/client is the king and we need to understand them inorder to retain the Monoply. I speak critically though if u realize in Pak Suzuki’s Favour. Regards

I dont think there are issues in finding parts for the Toyota YARIS/Vitz, however yes the parts are not economical or you say economical spares. They are available in the market but are relatively more expensive than the suzuki parts. About mechanical support, All original Toyota dealerships would be able to help you with any mechanical issues. Currently my car is being maintained by the Toyota Dealership in Aabpara Market G-6 Markaz Islamabad and i am quite satisfied with them.
