Pakistan’s Problems and the Solution

Many people blame Pakistan’s problems on poverty and lack of education. Others on the government. I blame it on the weakness of Eman. This is the root of all problems. This is where problems stem from.

Pakistan has drowned in sin. Pakistanis continue to lead a sedentary existence of listlessness, heedlessness, indulgence in luxuries and pleasures, false pride and vainglory, sin, crime and transgression, oppression and exploitation. They are involved in mutual hatred, enmity, embroiled against each other in court cases and law-suits and competing against each other they spend lavish and large sums of money, involving themselves at times in massive debts accompanied by hefty percentages of interest.

This is the reason Allah has appointed corrupt leaders. These leaders have been appointed due to sins. The only escape from them is through taubah and perfect obedience of Allah’s orders.

Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala said in the Quran – “Verily Allah does not change the condition of people unless they change it themselves.”

In a hadith Qudsi it is reported:

I am Allah, there is no deity besides Me, I am the king of kings and the master of kings, the heart of kings are within My control; when My servants are obedient to me, I make their rulers kind-hearted towards them; when they disobey Me, I turn their rulers against them with anger and tyranny, they then oppress them severely. Therefore, instead of cursing them, turn towards me in remembrance and submission, I will protect you against their tyranny.

Muslims face new problems and difficulties daily. Now and again, reports of untold oppression and barbarism against muslims are received. Their lives and property are destroyed and yet they keep indulging in sins.

Time and again, muslims are crushed by disasters and calamities and their laments, complaints and wailing never ends. When their shortcomings are pointed out to them, they remain ignorant. No one bothers to reform themselves. No one bothers to avoid those destructive sins and crimes that are the direct source of their misery and suffering.

History bears ample testimony to the fact that so long as the muslims continued to uphold the Quran and ahadith in their daily lives, empires crumbled at their feet. Small group of devout Muslims were sufficient to terrorize and demolish mighty forces. Emperors of superpowers trembled at the mere thought of muslims.

Yet these very victors of mighty empires, when they succumbed to comforts and luxuries, discarded the Quran and Hadith, resorted to oppression and cruelty, became power-drunk and arrogant and indulged openly in music, wine and women, fell from the glorious pinnacles of civilization and progress to the abyss of disgrace.

@Syed Hassan: Thanks for your comment.

@Naveed: It was a non-Muslim city back then. Obviously, you’re not going to have a Muslim leader, religious or corrupt.

Who says there is no feudal in Pakistan. Rural Pakistan is control by the feudals, even in urban areas one can see the people who work hard and other who exploit the situation and make money in the name of Muslim saints or family lands. Our ruling class of so called politicians is from feudals and then industrialist follow them for power in authoritarian society. Law making body-the Majlish Shora, parliament -the senate , national assembly, provincial assembly and district council , every where the members are feudal, indusrialists, drug barons and /or Rtd. corrupt police officers with few Rtd, army officers as well. The writer of the this article and a leading scholar Dr. Aisha Siddiqa is also from feudal class with extra ordinary intelligence. I agree with some people that one should do some thing instead of suggestions. I have done some thing by leaving my home land as it’s hopeless there; unless there is rule of law not the law of ruler and we should follow the rule accordingly. Very simple law of inheritance can change our country’s future. What ever law we follow, Islamic or British- Muslim personal law, the property should be divided accordingly after the death of a person in a reasonable time but what happen in our country- this is the basic problem. If division of property is done by the law, there will be no feudal and if there is no feudal: the country will flourish. See rest of the world specially the developed world where majority people from under developed countries want to come. All the best for the rest of the people all over the world. FIVE REGIONAL CITIES OF PAKISTAN should be upgraded with in the provinces in the country. Regional cities of Dera Ismail Khan in NWFP, Gawadar/ Qalat in Balouchistan, Sukkar/ Larkana in Upper Sind, Jehlam/ Rawalpindi and Multan in Punjab province. These regional cities have been ignored by the federal and provincial governments although these cities have their own history, culture and languages.Dera Ismail Khan in south of Pakhtun khwa/MWFP is under seige, Multan/DG Khan in south of Punjab is next target of religious extremists, Sukkar/ Larkana is being ruled by criminals, Gawadar/ Qalat is trouble some. The people of these regions have to travel to provincial capitals for every small issue and requirement of the daily life which should be provided in nearby cities. A good number of population travel to big cities for their survival to earn livelihood as the local feudal own majority land and keep the common man as their slaves. Creation of regional government and upgrading of the regional cities will save a lot of money and time of the poor people of these regions. Circuit benches of the High Courts are already working in these areas and only requirement is the additional staff of different departments involved in additional work at the provincial capitals. The concern authorities should immediately consider to upgrade the regional cities. And immediate attention should be given upgrade/build the airports,TV station, civic center, libraries, hospitals, educational institutes and investment opportunities for Pakistanis living abroad and foreign firms to create jobs in the area as majority population in rural Pakistan do not have enough resources to survive. It’s remind me the condition of pre Islamic revolution of Iran in Shah time when the rural Iran was ignored and the capital Tehran was developed in a way to call it Paris of Middle East with modern life style. Couple of other big cities like Isfahan and Caspian sea was taken care of because of foreign tourists but rural area was ruled by cruel police and intelligence. Then what happen rural population supported the Islamic revolution and moved to Tehran and other big cities later on. The new government after revolution developed, built and upgraded the rural areas of Iran accordingly. A fund to upgrade/build these regional cities in Pakistan should be established by public and private sector and Pakistani government, our foreign friends and Pakistanis living abroad may be asked to participate in this development mission in the country..KHWAJA AFTAB ALI,( former secretary, Iranian embassy, Saudi Arabia,(1975-88) Advocate High Court & I.P. Change our self’s to bring revolution

Dear brothers and sisters I am really confused how to express my felling .But I hope you people will understand. . First I will start with myself. Few months back I had all habits of teenagers. But then some sudden changes come in my life due to some facts. Not going in these changes or facts, it is really hard to explain. So than different things come on my mind for example to help others, change in our people, to bring unity in our self, to die in helping others. That’s a change come in my life.
Now I want to come on the topic that why we are not able to change our self. We always blame others that he is not doing right. Always blame our leaders. However are we good enough to blame others? Our most common problem is that all are doing bad or wrong, than why should i do good or right. Change never be come through a single person, a big part of society have to come up. It is not to creating a movement. It is just to change yourself initially. As we see around us we are trapped by different cultures which didn’t belongs to us. These foreign cultures really destroyed our society and specially our youth and it will also affect our upcoming generations.
So it is time to wake up. Is this all what Islam teaches us what we are doing today. How can we say that we are Muslims not one of our actions are of Muslims. The main reason that why we are not able to change our self is that Allah is not with us. We didn’t obey his orders, than why should he help us. Allah says in Quran “ Allah is not friend of those who do injustice and those people will always be in dark “ Now just apply these verse on yourself. Are we doing justice with our self’s? Are we follow the orders of Allah? Is it not injustice with our self? Than how Allah will help us?
Now come on the conclusion if we want to change our self, than we have to do justice with our self. Follow the orders of Allah, Do prayers, help his creation. That’s how we get changed and also got blessings of Allah.

FACTS ON THE GROUND IN PAKISTAN.

Reference to the Islamic history and Pakistan’s independence period, I want to go a step further and will recommend to select/elect every Chief of Army staff as president after retirement and the present Army chief should be be given extra time for his outstanding services at national and international level and all other Corps. Commanders of the Army and COS of Airforce and Navy should be appointed Governors and Deputy Governors of the provinces and regions ( by creating regional governments in all four provinces, 2 in Punjab 1 in each province- these regions already exist based on language, culture and history , such as Saraiki, Potahari, Upper Sind-Sukkar, Dera Ismail Khan in NWFP and Gawadar- Balouch Area. And all additional bureaucrates who love to live in provincial capitals should be transfered to these remote areas of the country.

These new regions should invite and attract the foreigner and Pakistani origin people to invest in the area to create jobs and eliminate poverty.) This is the only way we can stop further interception/ coup in Pakistan. After all armed forces personnel are well disciplined and organized . And above all represent Pakistan’s diversified population. And it’s leadership do not transfer within family but earned by hard work and talents only. Every second family in Pakistan is represented in the army one way or the other and the Pakistan Army is the only ever lasting popular party-yes it’s an important ruling party other than Bhuttos and anti-Bhuttos, Sharif brothers. With this arrangement no one is loser except few feudals and industrialists, who represent non of the masses in Pakistan.

We already have a quota system applied for superior services since 30 years and had killed thousands of innocent talented young people, why not try this arrangement for the welfare of the country which will effect none but very few so called politicians who after all deal with generals, behind the curtains. And it’s good to know that supporters of these politician are 500/600 Mafia families who live in 125 districts in Pakistan and provide so called public leadership for national, provincial and local levels. Any restriction to stop them is useless. Recent example of education condition brought their unseen educated women forward in politics. All 8000/9000 candidates in recent elections were from the same mafia group who are the biggest law breakers and around 1000 leading law breakers have been elected as new law makers who will take care of themselves but none. They all are involved in worst kind of crimes on this earth against humanity with the collaboration of junior police officials. An enquiry by a nuetral agency may prove my claim.

WOULD THE EDITOR PUBLISH THIS LETTER in the larger interest of the nation.

“bad people become good with eman. Allah sent rasulullah to the worst people on earth. They used to fight over a camel of one tribe drinking water from a lake of another tribe. A fight over this used to go on for generations! But look, how high Allah raised them after they got eman. Allah made them the Sahaba.”

i seriously disagree with that statement. most of the aabs stayed corrupt even after the advent of islam. dont you know anything about islamic history? thats the problem with the happy-happy version of islamic history which everyone is fed. it gives everyone unrealistic ideas. there was no such thing as perfect sahaba, there was no such thing as a rightously guided khilafat. the hadith were compiled until after 200 years after the prophets death and many hadith contradict each other and are false. dont you know what happened after the prophet died? thre was a civil war and tribalist monarachs otok over the khilafat and spread islam by the sword, there were rebellions there was oppression, there was bloodshed, people who protested against the corruption and decadence were slaughtered and many, many sects were formed.
were did all the muslim scientists go? havent you ever asked yourself that? they were beaten to death by their own books at the hands of fanatics who did the bidding of their corrupt kings.

im not talking about happiness, happiness comes today and goes tomorrow. im talking about wealth power and progress. its got nothing to do with the spirit and every thing to do with ambition and greed. you cant have political power based on the laws of god. that is hypocrisy. power is tool which is inherently cruel. those who try to mix religion and power end up defaming their religion.

as for th allah keeping a poor man poor. how can you know what allah know. how can you know waht allah thinks. its a bit to big headed and arrogant, what you have said. dont you know that life is a test and that poverty and wealth are granted to people as a test. it doesnt depend on eman,it depend on a mans effort and allahs will. how dare you think that wealth is a reward.

“what my position is that pakistan’s problems are material and material solutions are enough to solve them.”

    – O.K. Let’s say a person is poor. Allah knows that if this person is granted wealth right now he will start drinking, gambling, going to prostitutes, hoarding wealth etc. He will become a slave of his wealth. Not everyone is able to keep a level head after getting wealth. If a person’s heart is filled with the noor of eman then he will use this weath for good. Hajj, umrah, charity, helping others etc.

“thats because there are more bad people in the world than good.”

    – bad people become good with eman. Allah sent rasulullah to the worst people on earth. They used to fight over a camel of one tribe drinking water from a lake of another tribe. A fight over this used to go on for generations! But look, how high Allah raised them after they got eman. Allah made them the Sahaba.

“im going for a tried and tested solution while u are advocating something that is not practical”

tried and tested? Where exactly has this been tried and tested?
Please let me know. Name me one place on Earth where this trying and testing has brought hapiness.

    – What im saying is not practical?!!!!!! What im saying is from Quran and hadith.
