Nation is Waiting

Nation has brought in a revolution and nation now wants to see their newly elected government fulfilling their promises. The biggest wish of nation is the reinstatement of judiciary. Nations wants their 60 judges back and they want the man who ejected them ejected.

Nation doesn’t want to get mixed in the intricacies of parliamentary debates, and as the judges were thrown out by a single man with a single stroke of pen, they could be brought back by an administrative order. Ok if PPP wants to do it through parliament under the United States pressure or whatever they need to do it promptly.

Asif Ali Zardari is clearly showing a very week foot in this regard, and he clearly wants to stall this. He is very ambiguous in reinstating the judiciary, and he is not issuing any clear statement whereas the Prime Minister candidate of PPP Makhdoom Amin Fahim has said that judiciary is not the issue of Pakistani people, and Musharraf can be kept in the office and they will work on other issues.

That is humbug, and it reminds of the old stale deal which was struck between Benazir Bhutto and Musharraf brokered by United States and it seems that Zardari hasnt got the nerve to shed that deal.

You can bet Zardari doesn’t want an independent judiciary, as he wants to grab as much land as possible in Karachi for building shopping malls. This he can’t do if the judges are independent.
