On the 40th anniversary of moon landing NASA has unveiled restored video footage of man’s first steps on the moon. The first installment of a more extensive project, the video includes 15 restored key moments from the mission led by astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins. The video was only brought back to life after it was rediscovered following an extensive three-year search through some 45,000 video cassettes in NASA’s analog archives.
It has truly been historic when Armstrong made him unforgettable by quoting “One small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind”.
