Lahore Terror

Terrorists are giving no respite to the people of Pakistan and they are hell bent on destroying the country. The recent twin suicide attacks on Navy War College on the Mall Road, Lahore in the tight security area are yet another grim remembrance of the dire situation we find ourselves in these days.

After the lull in these terrorists attacks for some days during the elections, this chain of scourge has started again. During and just after the elections things remain calm, and even our Ministry of Interior was quick enough to declare that they have eliminated the terrorism, a claim they have taken back without second clarifications.

A war-related course was in progress in a lecture room adjacent to the parking lot when the bombers blew themselves up. The first bomber blew himself up at the gate, destroying it and killing security guard Akhtar Husain and sanitary worker Thamis. The second suicide bomber, who too was riding a motorbike, then entered the college premises and blew himself up in the middle of the parking lot, killing Subedar Major Khalid Farooq and Anwarul Haq and injuring 20 people.

We must retaliate.
