Justice Denied: NAB withdraws case against wife of Yousuf Raza Gilani

While Pakistanis starve and die every day due to hunger, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has withdrawn cases against Fouzia Gilani, wife of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani. According to DAWN and the Daily Times, the amount involved is Rs. 171.63 million plus interest for over twenty years.

This is the kind of money which would have been enough to feed at least a million people for a day. It may be remembered that only a few days back, a man and a ten year old boy were killed in a stampede as they were trying to get subsidized flour.

This is a sure recipe for disaster. Those who rule the country consider themselves above the law and go on looting the country. I don’t think we need any more proof that Pakistan is a failing state.

Awaiting revolutiom I guess. I am not interested in this news item particularly but the rampant situation and sequence of event in the country makes one dizzy, dejected and angry. A handful of people have made this country their plunder ground and get the last laugh each time the plunder and walk out. We have history of this nasty businesses by all political dynasties of the country. Thw wait shall only be over if common man will rise up against most trivial (as they make us believe) form of injustice.

I don’t know when Allah will give us real leaders. Present political leaders are corrupt to the core. I thought Gillani was straght.

Yet another beautiful example of democracy where uneducated, poor and supressed masses elect their high school pass leaders who have nothing on their minds but to suck the blood of innicent people. Is Pakistan a failing state? No it is not. It has already failed.
