Judges restoration prolonged

On Thursday Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Nawaz Sharif in a meeting with and Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Asfandyar Wali has said that PML-N does not want the breakage of ruling coalition government. It was because of these parties’ strength and initiations that Musharraf resigned. Nawaz stated that a written agreement with Asif Ali Zardari had been signed regarding the restoration of judges with twenty four hours after Musharraf resignation but it did not happen.

With these developments taking place it is quite obvious and clear that PPP has its reservations before reinstating the deposed judges. In the meanwhile when the name of Asif Zardari is also nominated for presidency by Sindh assembly and it is expected that Balochistan and NWFP’s assemblies will too nominate him as a presidential candidate, Zardari will do all to secure himself before taking any decision.

It was also felt in the meeting that Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Asfandyar Wali were more tilted towards PPP while Nawaz was not very glad with the slow pace proceedings despite written agreements already in place.
