India’s Right Step

At last after enough finger pointing, blame game, false accusations and hysteria without proofs, the Indians are taking some steps in the right directions, but making their own security arrangements improved and fool proof.

Indian home minister P Chidambaram has announced a massive overhaul of the country’s security and intelligence agencies in the wake of last month’s Mumbai attacks. Palaniappan Chidambaram made the announcement while addressing Lok Sabha members during the Parliament session in New Delhi.

He has proposed to his parliament to strengthen preventive, investigative and prosecution measures, including the one to set up a national investigative agency in this session itself. India will set up 20 counter-insurgency and anti-terror schools for training commandos from police forces, he said. Intelligence gathering and sharing to be made more effective and result-oriented.

The India home minister should find out why there is so much unrest in India, and why there is so much Hindu extremism and why there is so much subjugation of the minorities. Why the Christians are burned alive in the churches and the why the nuns are raped, and why the killings of Muslims and why the purposeful degradation of Sikhs?

  1. @Mr. A. Hameed Durrani: when Hindus kill Muslims/Christians/Sikhs, it’s not terrorism. Terrorism is only when Muslims kill others. This is the current world view, and the reason for this is that Hindus project themselves as peace-loving people, while Muslims (like Ahmedinejad) always talk about destroying others.
