Indian Supreme Court allows sex before marriage!

It had to happen on Pakistan’s national day. The Indian Supreme Court has declared that pre-marital sex is perfectly legal and unmarried men and women living together are not violating the law.

I always wondered how those semi-naked Bollywood actresses could get away with living with their boyfriends without attracting the attention of die-hard Hindus (who just like our own extremists, set fire to places where Valentine’s Day is being celebrated). So now no Indian couple needs to worry, they can do whatever they want without being harassed by the police.

Once I read about a woman in Bombay who was lying half-asleep on her bed, the door of her apartment being open, and someone entered and did to her what only her husband was allowed to do. She thought it was her husband, but when the guy got up and started to leave the flat, she realized she’d been raped. She yelled and woke up the whole apartment block. The man was caught, but I don’t know if he was ever punished. I suppose the court probably advised all Indian women to lock themselves up when they’re alone, however hot the weather is.

But now, with the Indian Supreme Court allowing pre-marital sex, I wonder how long it will be before it says that wife-swapping is also legal!

Mr. Lakhani, you must be disappointed, right? An Hindu actress, wel dressed doesn’t go well with your brain-washed thinking…and you lost chance of viewing someone semi-naked 😉 (which seems to be your favourite pastime)

Btw.. do you know from which part of the world do most people search for sex related things? Peshwar. And last I checked Peshwar was still in Pakistan….

Does that recall old english proverb – soemthing to do with Kettle .. Pot…Black :)))

Abheek: A well-known Pakistani textile manufacturer has reportedly given 20 million rupees to a well-known Indian actress to model its products. I think this is the first time an Indian female actress/model has been paid good money to be decently dressed! (By the way, the actress is a Hindu, belonging to a famous and talented family).

Tayebji thanks for supporting my stand…. as said earlier, the ruling is to be seen in the light of a lady’s right (actress Kushboo) to express her thoguhts on the topic – a la free speech … The fact that she was slapped with so many cases is a pointer in itself to the fact that such things are not liked in Indian society. I see this as very much an Asian virtue irrespective of whether one is Hindu / Muslim / Xtian. Though in recent times the obscinity / vulagarity bug from west has found a place in Bollywood, which Mr. Lakhani is so found of. He doesn’t miss a chance of point to the semi-nude photos of Indian (read Hindu) actresses. Mr. Lakhani do you know that lot of producers/ directors are Muslims who are promoting such things. And what about Shahrukhs and Salmans of the world … is it ok for them to disploay their body? Your bias seems to be against women (that too Hindus) … Men are free to do anything, right?

A taboo topic to be commented on by a lady but I cant stop myself to write my opinion. No matter where in the world this happens, it is utter disgrace to the institution of marriage. One can not learn to respect and understand the other gender without remaining within the moral and social boundaries.

It is one odd event and can not be generalised on whole nation. I agree with Abheek that it had to be Lakhani to generalise an odd issue. Let look at ourselves where we do the same without supreme court decision and against all norms.

Judges are making mockery .. look at the Kasab case .. everything is caught on camera, but still it takes so long to pronounce the punishment … so don’t be surprised on this. And anyway what the judge has said is he doesn’t find anything wrong in what the actress has said – she aired her views about pre-martial sex, people dragged her to court and the judge said he can’t call this a crime. This doesn’t mean (as Mr. Lakhani is trying to make it out) that it is ‘legal’ to have pre-martial sex … try and tell this to any self-respecting family (Hindu / Muslim) and you will get beaten in public …

Supreme court judgement is absurd and insane. Sex before marriage surely harms Indian culture. It mainly destroys the institution of marriage gradually. Most men of today prefer marriage to have sex life. If a man tastes a woman, and If he is not satisfied, he may leave her in the lurch. Sex before marriage results in rapid raise of prostitution and teen pregnancy. It is not wise to take example from Indian mythology. At the time of vedas, Incest was practiced. In future Supreme Court may say that Incest is no crime. I think supreme court judges are true triators- because they are trying to harm Indian culture. It is time to save our culture. It is better to protest against supreme court to ban sex before marriage, same sex marriage etc.

Sex before marriage surely ruins the Indian Family system. The supreme court judgement destroys the Indian culture. It causes the institution of marriage to vanish gradually. Women are the ultimate victims of this judgement. This judgement also results in raise of Prostitution and teen pregnancy. I think supreme court judges should be stonned to death for giving this insane judgement. It is time for us to save our culture from damnation. When Americans are loving our culture, we should we hate our own culture?

Mr. Lakhani it had to be you – to twist the orginal news out of context, give it a color so as to show India, Hinduism and Hindus in bad light … FYI the supreme court commented on (who else) but an actress (her name is Khusbhoo … sounds Islamic to me) .. who said that pre-martial sex is ok with her. She was dragged to court over this matter.
