If you know Things, you know Things

During the adventure of my master degree perusal, “If you know things, you know things” was a famous pet peeve of my operating systems instructor. For a long time, I wondered, what exactly in the hell does it mean. I still am not sure about its supposed semantic, but I have made some guesses. It perhaps implies that;

1- The fact of being aware of information that is known to few people

2- Be cognizant or aware of a fact or a specific piece of information

3- Knowing how to actually do something in practical

4- Facing the music in the real world

5- Regard as true beyond any doubt

6- Have firsthand knowledge

7- Have fixed in the mind

So what’s your take, do you know what does this phrase mean?
