Homosexuality : An Abnormal Behaviour (Religiously and Scientifically Proven) – 2

The Punishment in Sharee’ah

Al-Tirmidhi (1456), Abu Dawood (4462) and Ibn Maajah (2561) narrated that Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever you find doing the action of the people of Loot, execute the one who does it and the one to whom it is done.” Classed as Saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi.

The Sahabah (may Allah be pleased with them all) were unanimously agreed on the execution of homosexuals, but they differed as to how they were to be executed. Some of them were of the view that they should be burned with fire, which was the view of ‘Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and also of Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him). And some of them thought that they should be thrown down from a high place then have stones thrown at them. This was the view of Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allah be pleased with him). Ibn ‘Abbas (may Allah b pleased with him) derived this hadd punishment from the punishment that Allah sent upon the homosexuals of the people of Lut (a.s.).

Some of the Sahabah (may Allah be pleased with them all) said that the homosexual should be executed no matter what his situation, whether he is married or not. While others said that he should be punished in the same way as an adulterer, so he should be stoned if he is married and flogged if he is not married.

Imam Abu Haneefah was of the view that the punishment for the homosexual should be less severe than the punishment for the adulterer, and it is a punishment to be determined by the judge (ta’zeer).

Why most of the Sahabah (may Allah be pleased with them) were of the opinion that the punishment for this heinous crime should be of the utmost severe nature is because of the greatness of the evil consequences of this crime, which the earth can hardly bear if it is committed upon it, and the angels flee to the farthest reaches of heaven and earth if they witness it, lest the punishment be sent upon those who do it and they be stricken along with them. The earth cries out to its Lord, may He be blessed and exalted, and the mountains almost shift from their places. (Lut’s (a.s.) nation).

Killing the one to whom it is done is better for him than committing this act with him, because if a man commits sodomy with another man, in effect he kills him in such a way that there is no hope of life after that, unlike murder where the victim is wronged and is a martyr. They said: the evidence for that (i.e., that the evil consequences of homosexuality are worse than those of murder) is the fact that in the case of murder, Allah gives the next of kin the choice: if he wishes he may have him executed and if he wishes he may let him off, but He enjoined executing the homosexual as a hadd punishment, as the companions of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah be pleased with them all) were unanimously agreed, and as is clearly indicated by the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and there is no evidence to the contrary; rather this is what his companions and the Rightly-Guided Caliphs (may Allah be pleased with them all) did.

It should, however, be noted that a person who has not reached puberty is exempted from this punishment. Such a boy should be disciplined and punished in such a way that will discourage him from committing this crime again. (Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah be pleased with him)).

Even if one doesn’t care about the Wrath of Allah (‘Azza-u-Jell), a rational person should think of the medical harm of their gross act.

The Diseases Associated with Homosexuality

The diseases which are transmitted by way of homosexuality are:

1. AIDS, which causes loss of acquired immunity and usually leads to death.
2. Viral inflammation of the liver
3. Syphilis
4. Gonorrhea
5. Herpes
6. Bacterial inflammation of the anus
7. Typhoid
8. Amoebiasis
9. Intestinal worms
10. Anal warts
11. Scabies
12. Pubic lice (“crabs”)
13. Cytomegalovirus that may lead to anal cancer
14. Genital-lymphatic pustules

A person who truly wants to change, insha’Allah, Allah (SWT) will help him succeed in his mission. The door to repentance is open for sinners (of all categories), and Allah rejoices at their repentance.

If a person abstains from watching X-rated movies, obscene pictures, always occupies his mind with useful work and remembers Allah all the time, insha’Allah he will overcome the evils of his nafs.

Just think about it, what is more important: whatever pleasure one receives from such practices or the torment that one will face as result on the Day of Judgement?

Except those who repent and believe (in Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds; for those, Allah will change their sins into good deeds, and Allah is Oft‑Forgiving, Most Merciful” [al-Qur’an 25:68-70]

    Hi
    I m a homosexual and i need to quit it, but its becoming more and more difficult with everyday passing. will u plz help to sort out this problem. and plz don’t advice me to do so, if i can do it myself, i would rather never ask for your help. if there is any way to get rid of it, i will appreciate it.

    Hi, Shakir: Honestly I am pretty clueless regarding what causes homosexuality. I once asked a confirmed lesbian why she was that way, and she told me that by a very young age she’d discovered that she had more fun “playing Doctor” with girls than with boys. I could speculate forever, but love is a very complex thing, and I suppose everyone has different reasons for feeling affections, sexual or emotional. It seems pointless to ask anyone, really, because if you get an honest answer you probably won’t understand it anyway.

    Illiterate people here tend to overbreed, too; maybe they’re trying to compensate for lack of quality with quantity. Most likely they just don’t think ahead about how they’re going to feed and clothe all those babies, educate them (ED-ji-KAY-shun?! Whah, they don’ NEED no EDjiKAYshun!! Mah DADDY din’t have none, Ah h’ain’t got none, an’ THEY don’ need none! Hit’s all rat cheer in th’ GOOD BOOK!!) (Translation: very poor hillbilly English for “It’s all right here in the “Good Book–” the Bible. Sound familiar?), and prepare them for a comfortable, productive life.
    (These are exactly the type of American boneheads who voted for Bush and are itching to shoot some Islamic boneheads, who are, naturally, itching to shoot some American boneheads, mainly because none of their elevators go to the top floor.)

    Many gays might be faithful to their partners, and are probably far fewer in numbers than men who consort with prostitutes, who can only be about as clean as public toilets, and since STD’s can pass along with any exchange of body fluids, it follows that there are more heterosexuals catching them. The real problem in the spread of STDs is promiscuity, I’d say.

    These are the signs that Allah has told us to see. Allah has said in many verses of the Qur’an that instead of blindly following, see and us your reason and we will com to know about the Oneness of the Only Lord.

    Do they not then think deeply in the Qur’ân, or are their hearts locked up (from understanding it)? (Qur’an, Muhammad, 24)

    Almost all facts of life are told in the Holy Book, the true word of Allah. Qur’an clearly has it that such relations are not just unnatural but also harmful to the health of the persons.

    If you read Surah Al Baqara you will see how explicitly it has been stated.

    Islam is the religion of truth and reasoning. Of course, one should have full faith in Allah. But knowing about how Allah has directly explained facts about life increases our faith.

    Islam is not a religion based on emotions. It is a religion of reasoning. The reason being is that the Holy Book hasn’t been changed in anyway by any human being.

    Harun Yahya has said in his book ‘Allah in known through Reason’: “The majority of people say that they know Allah and believe in Him. In truth, however, they do not know and measure Allah with His true measure. For this, one needs to have “reason and wisdom.””

    So, have we become so selfish that just to find space for ourselves on earth we do not care if our fellow human beings are destroying themselves or not? Instead, clear the way to destruction for them? No, sir, that goes against my morals at least.

    Yes I am young…fathful?-Allaho A’lam (Allah knows best), innocent…hmm…may Allah keep me and every person away from sins, ameen but I can say that I am not ignorant of the world and its dealings. “unaware of many adult dynamics personally” – even according to the Western standards I am an adult.

    From your comment i understand that you consider homosexuals a means to a society that is not over-populated and therefor able to cater to everyone’s needs…let’s hope none of the Human Rights Activists come across this…

    You really needn’t worry about the population of the world as the U.S. is taking good care of it, especially on our side.

    @ James: perhaps homosexuality is a by-product of over-over-population? I know illiterate Pakistanis (my driver, for instance) who already have eight or nine children and want more. By the way, in some parts of Pakistan and India, men have sex with young boys before they are able to marry and raise families. By now both countries should have had a large number of people suffering from all those diseases supposedly caused by indulging in homosexuality. India, of course, has a large number of people suffering from AIDS, but that isn’t due to homosexuality, it’s more likely to have resulted from men fornicating with prostitutes. How do you explain this?

    Hi, Momina: Religion relies upon faith, not requiring proof, therefore cannot provide proof, so your title is erroneous.
    However, your points about the medical hazards of homosexuality are quite well-taken, although, as normally bacteria-infested creatures we are subject to a raft of ills that are not related to homosexuality.

    Homosexuality is a biological dead-end because no offspring come from such unions. Throughout mankind’s history leaders of all persuasions have always wanted more and more underlings, workers, citizens–a larger tax-base, bigger army, more tithes from a bigger congregation, etc.–and discouraged, sometimes severely, any lifestyle or abnormal activity that did not contribute to growth which led to greater power for themselves.

    But in the last fifty years things have changed–Earth’s population has doubled–, and explosive population growth has become a threat to our survival as a species worldwide. Some say there are more people alive now than have ever died; some say half who ever lived are alive now. Whichever, the math is scary, and leaders and everyone else are now becoming aware of the problem and searching for solutions.

    There are two basic solutions to an overpopulation problem: (a) kill a whole lot of humans now (as has been done innumerable times in the past) or (b) let them quietly live out their lives in a manner that they leave no huge pile of offspring, who would in turn contribute to the human numbers problem in twenty years or so, etc. Assuming adult humans crave sexual companionship in some form, homosexuality provides a method by which living people can have some happiness and companionship (albeit, in my opinion, a highly inferior version compared to marriage and children), yet curtail the population problem.

    I believe that you are young, faithful, innocent, and most likely unaware of many adult dynamics personally. That is not a fault, merely a reflection of your time in life. It will come to you in time. But for now I would ask you to consider that gays of any persuasion are giving up their futures, their children, and much of their earthly happiness to make room for the children of tomorrow, some of which are mine, and some of which may someday be your own.

    We don’t have to love gays, or become gays, or even associate with them, but I think we should, at least in these times, let them be.

    a parent who does not keep guard on his/her children’s activities doesn’t deserve to be a parent. it is the duty of the parents, initially, to ensure that their children’s friends are a good company.

    later in life a person has enough brains to know what is a good company and what isn’t.

    of course, most of the diseases mentioned are associated with heterosexual relations as well (usually of the illicit nature).

    Ths dieseases you have associated with homosexuality also happen to heterosexuals. They can happen to anyone.

    First of all, X-rated movies do not solely contain heterosexual perversion. There are X-rated homosexual movies also available.

    Even if a person watches the heterosexual haraam deeds satan may arouse wrong desires in him/her. Such a person may look at the best possible outlet of doing the deed. Male friends (in case of females, vice versa) are an easy resource.

    Parents usually are not fearful if their sons are spending time with their male friends.

    Satan looks for an opening in a person for further sins. Suppose a person has a habit of staring at women. Satan will make use of this weakness and increase his wrong desires…

    Correction: How is avoiding watching X Rated movies supposed to prevent a person from being gay? It actually prevents a person from being gay. I am not supporting those movies but if your topic is on homosexuality, you better make some sense.

    Also, how is an X-Rated movie supposed to prevent a person from being gay? Isn’t it supposed to increse heterosexual behaviour?
