This Eid, at last someone is happy, and that is none other than the U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. She is happy because she is at last getting out of the mess, and has done successful work in the regard of Mumbai attacks, and has pushed Pakistan in arresting randomly some people to avoid the war between the nuclear rivals.
Condoleeza Rice is so happy that she is once again coming over to Pakistan in some days, and she has profusely shown her approval and glee over the measures Pakistan has taken against extremists operating in the country since the Mumbai attacks, but stopped short of confirming reported arrests, because perhaps she wants more arrests, and her mantra of do more still there.
Pakistan’s permanent representative to UN, Abdullah Hussain Haroon is constantly in touch with the Rice and the Indian officials and he has a big role in diffusing the tension. India has approached to Security Council to get Jamaat-ud-Dawa banned while he showed Pakistan’s readiness to ban the suspected outfit if United Nations requests to Pakistan adding its bank accounts could also be ceased.
Will that calm down the beast?
