Gandhara Flood Relief Fund for affected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Intensive rains for 5-days hit Peshawar and surrounding areas causing severe flash floods and houses destruction. More than 1500 people are killed in Charsadda Road, Warsak Road, Bara road, Mathra, Malkander, Hariana, Chamkani, Kohat Road, Pir Bala, and Shahi Bala of Peshawar, whereas Kot, Tarnab, Umerzai, Dab Koroona, Shabqadar, Jehangir Pura and Ghaligayee of District Charsadda are of most affected areas strike by flash floods.

Through RELIEF RESPONSE, Gandhara Development Society organized a medical camp and begun activities for flood affected population just a day after the flood stop. A Medical camp organized through self-help and private donors, resulted in serving more than 800 patients. Furthermore, thousends of pure mineral water bottles along with MOSQUITO REPELLANTS and ORS are distributed among the flood hit population in NOWSHERA and CHARSADDA.

Future plans included distribution of kitchen sets and hygiene kits in order to help out the flood affected population.

According to field reports, hundreds of houses are collapsed in suburbs of Peshawar and District Charsadda. In addition to Peshawar and Charsada, Swat is also one of the most flood-hit area.Gandhara Development Society establishes FLOOD RELIEF FUND and Appeals the well wishers to contribute through cash and in-kind generously in order
to reach the real vulnerable.

In-kind and Cash contributions for the following items are requested:

– Treated Mosquito Nets
– Medicines
– Tents for Temporary Shelter
– Water Purification Tablets
– Jerry Cans
– Food Items (Flour Bags, Rice, Tea, Juices, Biscuits etc…)
