Pakistani security forces fired at US gunship helicopters after they flew over Spinkhwara village near Saidgai in North Waziristan Agency (NWA). The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) also confirmed the firing at the US choppers. A spokesman for the ISPR has said that two US helicopters intruded into the Pakistani territory at around 3:30 pm from Afghanistan’s Khost province in the Saidgai area near Gulam Khan in the NWA.
Previously, the President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari had claimed that Pakistani forces hadn’t attacked the NATO helicopters and it was just that Pakistanis fired the light fireworks just to tell the choppers that they were about to enter the Pakistani airspace, and then the Pakistanis informed the ISAF head quarters.
Now this statement by ISPR has refuted the claims made by our President, whose words are not to be believed because he has broken so many promises, accords and agreements and has shamelessly accepted his habit of telling lies and making tall and baseless claims. U.S. secretary of state, Condoleezza Rice has also mentioned this anomaly to our newly inducted president.
