36 years old, Dr. Aafia a Pakistani neo-scientist who was arrested from Afghanistan on the charge of trying to kill an American army officer. It is expected that she might face more charges before August 11. A US district judge has set this date for hearing the plea for her bail. Her attorney fears that she would face more charges before her hearing date, to make sure that she remains behind bars.
Elizabeth Fink her attorney and Elaine Whitfeld Sharp are of the view that after arraignment, the case against her felt absurd as it is difficult to believe that a 90 pounds woman can snatch a rifle and fire back. There is nothing left against her in this case and therefore it is predicted that the investigators may escort some other charges abutting her. Attorney Elaine has said that Dr. Aafia is also not informed of where her three children are, that were accompanying her at the time of her retiring in Karachi.
