Bilawal Bhutto Zardari: Can he cope?

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari – son of late Prime minister Benazir Bhutto has got tremendous coverage by the media and with no doubt one can say that he is one of the most famous persons in town. But isn’t he too young to take charge of one of the ruling political parties of Pakistan? I don’t deny the fact that he’s brought up in the lap of his mother who was one of the finest politicians of all times in the history of Pakistan and that he is also trained by her. But Ms Bhutto also kept her children away from media and politics for such a long time. Just a teenager and going through the greatest dilemmas of his life i.e. his mother’s death, won’t it be a burden on his flimsy shoulders to give the chairmanship of a political party i.e. PPP?

I can actually relate to the feelings of three of them as I also passed through the same feelings when my mother died one year back when I was 20 and eldest of my 3 siblings. I can feel that how hard it is to think and believe that your mother is no more in this world and you will no more be able to talk to her and get her love and what is left is nothing but just memories on which you have to live your life ahead.

I hope and pray that he copes up with the situation as a lot of time with ones own self and with the family is required for the catharsis and healing up of internal wounds. May he also meet up with the responsibilities as the eldest son, brother and as the chairman of PPP.

May Allah bless Ms Bhutto’s soul, her family, her mourners and Pakistan. Ameen.

nobody has been a loss to Pakistani nation. these politicians have played with us since the first day and you’re posting such kind of tributing comments to them. shame on you people. You people do not even know that Bilawal is not able to speak urdu. A person who cannot speak his mother tongue is going to be the chairman of the ruling party of a country. corrupt father, corrupt mother and corrupt son will be. dont expect more than that. You are talking about the pain of those who are going through it. nobody cares for the pain of people living in SWAT, FATA and other areas of NWFP, when somebody like Gul Khan and Salem Khan dies, nobody cares for their family but why do they care about the families and people related to famous and corrupt people? “siyasat taqat k husool ka khel hai, log es mein apne maan baap ko nahin chorte hum to phir awaam mein hain, awaam=aam log, ordinary people”

Benazir Bhutto has been a loss to the nation but the emotional pain of this loss can only be felt to those who are going through it, her children.
Bilwal Zardari is an impressively talented and confident young boy but does not have the age or experience to support what he is saying these days on the media. He cannot bring anything good to the Pakistanis by passing these scripted statements. He does not know Pakistan; what & how does it feel to be in Pakistan as a common not a lord….
I pray for him and his family and every Pakistani who loses life in such incidents and wish Bilawal luck for his studies at Oxford.

I have a comment which I hope you’d take positively. Your blog is a bit biased and sometimes unrealistic about certain people who have represented our country in politics. It would be better if you tone down your obvious exaggeration of BB (despite her tragic death which obviously no body deserves). Its additionally sad to know that a vast majority of pakistanis (yes, even you) have a memory that only goes back 12 months. I wouldn’t call anyone a ‘great’ person unless he or she has actually been able to do something great.
