Pakistan’s Problems and the Solution

Many people blame Pakistan’s problems on poverty and lack of education. Others on the government. I blame it on the weakness of Eman. This is the root of all problems. This is where problems stem from.

Pakistan has drowned in sin. Pakistanis continue to lead a sedentary existence of listlessness, heedlessness, indulgence in luxuries and pleasures, false pride and vainglory, sin, crime and transgression, oppression and exploitation. They are involved in mutual hatred, enmity, embroiled against each other in court cases and law-suits and competing against each other they spend lavish and large sums of money, involving themselves at times in massive debts accompanied by hefty percentages of interest.

This is the reason Allah has appointed corrupt leaders. These leaders have been appointed due to sins. The only escape from them is through taubah and perfect obedience of Allah’s orders.

Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala said in the Quran – “Verily Allah does not change the condition of people unless they change it themselves.”

In a hadith Qudsi it is reported:

I am Allah, there is no deity besides Me, I am the king of kings and the master of kings, the heart of kings are within My control; when My servants are obedient to me, I make their rulers kind-hearted towards them; when they disobey Me, I turn their rulers against them with anger and tyranny, they then oppress them severely. Therefore, instead of cursing them, turn towards me in remembrance and submission, I will protect you against their tyranny.

Muslims face new problems and difficulties daily. Now and again, reports of untold oppression and barbarism against muslims are received. Their lives and property are destroyed and yet they keep indulging in sins.

Time and again, muslims are crushed by disasters and calamities and their laments, complaints and wailing never ends. When their shortcomings are pointed out to them, they remain ignorant. No one bothers to reform themselves. No one bothers to avoid those destructive sins and crimes that are the direct source of their misery and suffering.

History bears ample testimony to the fact that so long as the muslims continued to uphold the Quran and ahadith in their daily lives, empires crumbled at their feet. Small group of devout Muslims were sufficient to terrorize and demolish mighty forces. Emperors of superpowers trembled at the mere thought of muslims.

Yet these very victors of mighty empires, when they succumbed to comforts and luxuries, discarded the Quran and Hadith, resorted to oppression and cruelty, became power-drunk and arrogant and indulged openly in music, wine and women, fell from the glorious pinnacles of civilization and progress to the abyss of disgrace.

what my position is that pakistan’s problems are material and material solutions are enough to solve them. eman deals with the individual and its not realistic to say that “if eveyone had true eman in his heart the world will be a better place,so we need to promote eman and everything will become fine”.
thats because there are more bad people in the world than good. and even in people with eman there are sectarian differences.
what we need to do is what the rest of the world has done. set up an effective system of governance and work towards a greater national interest.

im going for a tried and tested solution while u are advocating something that is not practical.

Look, get this straight. I am not saying that Pakistan is better than other countries. I AGREE with what you say. Pakistan is in a miserable condition. The reasons that you have counted are also ones I AGREE with.

The thing is where do these problems come from??

Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala has sent us on this world for a short period of time to worship him. When a nation submits itself to the obedience of Allah, there will be peace.

Consider this. If you tell your child to do something and he doesn’t listen what will you do? You will give him a chance or two. Even then if he doesn’t listen you will scold him. Even after that if he doesn’t listen you will be tempted to slap him. You will do all this for his own good. So that he doesn’t involve himself in destruction.

the early ummayid empire was a corrupt opprerssive monarchy which ruled through the the power of the sword. they where no better than the romans or persian that they defeated. its a myth cooked up through centuries that the early centuries of islam were perfect. they were not. they were bloody times of internal and external upheaval in the muslim world, times similar to what we are facing now.

did allah throw the world at the feet of the romans because they were obidient? is it allah who is throwing the world at the feet of america, china, russia and india?

History bears ample testimony to the fact……….

This is meant to show you the power of obedience to Allah’s orders. When a man runs towards Allah, Allah throws the world at his feet.Allah granted wealth, power and honour because they were practising muslims. Slowly, as they started to indulge in music, wine and women Allah took everything away.

Heres where you measured success in terms of empire.
“History bears ample testimony to the fact that so long as the muslims continued to uphold the Quran and ahadith in their daily lives, empires crumbled at their feet. Small group of devout Muslims were sufficient to terrorize and demolish mighty forces. Emperors of superpowers trembled at the mere thought of muslims.”

as for the suicides in japan and elsewhere, i dont think that they are that significant. a few suicides a day does not tarnish that fact that their society is better off than ours . and there is crime and depression in every society since no one is perfect. their statistis on crime, corruption and employment are way better than those of any muslim country.

    as for
“If collectively pakistanis become religious then Allah will grant wealth as he did to the muslims who ruled for 800 years because they were practising muslims.”

allah does not grant wealth on nreturn for being practising muslims. is your faith based on greed? men who have chosen the path of allah have always been tested with hardship and persecution. look at imam husayn(A.S) or the sufis. if a country wanmts to get rich then it needs worldly smarts to get rich. how do you explain the first world and thoer wealth. are they closer to allah than us that they are richer than us. your sense of faith is materialistic.

“china and japan and the western countries dont have eman. they are pretty ok. with low corruption, high employement.”

    – high unemployment? There are people commiting suicide every day in Japan, China and the U.S. due to lack of employement.

“you yourself seem to measure success in terms of empire and conquest i.e wordly power.”

-Where did i say i measure success in terms of empire and conquest?

Allah grants wealth when one has a considerable amount of Eman. Then a person will utilize his wealth for good. Hajj, Umrah, charity, helping others etc.

When a sinner is granted wealth he uses it in alcohol, gambling, prostitutes etc.

I agree with you. Wealth is needed as it is a great blessing of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala. However, wealth increases problems instead of decreasing them when collectively people have a very weak level of Eman.

If collectively pakistanis become religious then Allah will grant wealth as he did to the muslims who ruled for 800 years because they were practising muslims.

china and japan and the western countries dont have eman. they are pretty ok. with low corruption, high employement and the thing we all want for ourselves… RESPECT.
we need worldly solutions for our wordly problems. Eman alone isnt going to reduce our dept, or increase the litracy rate.

obeying islam will lead a person to a more balanced and content moral life. but it wont make him rich.some streets smarts and hard work is required to get rich. what this country needs is to get rich.

you yourself seem to measure success in terms of empire and conquest i.e wordly power.
