Pakistan Armed Forces: Army, Air Force and Navy are the jewels of fatherland. They have served the country time and again in very difficult times. Nowadays, both in print and electronic media, every other person is bashing at armed forces. In their blind bashing, they are even not sparing the Martyred Soldiers, who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
Many commentors, writers and anchor persons are giving unnecessarily irresponsible and rash remarks about the Shaheed soldiers, which is unacceptable. The sacred blood of of Shaheeds sacrificed at the borders of the motherland must not be muddied in dirty politics. It pains the nation to read the foolish remarks about the gone-by soldiers.
When a soldiers is martyred, he just is a Shaheed, and not a Sepoy or officer. At the time of the burial ceremony of any rank of defense forces, be he an officer or a Sepoy, his coffin has to be saluted by all attending ranks including generals, or for that matter the Chief of Army Staff. This is a rule, not merely a tradition.
Whenever a serving soldier departs from this world, his unit comrades including officers are duty-bound to attend his funeral. I wonder how these very few media persons who blast at Shaheed soldiers will ask pardon from the living souls of Shaheeds for the act of demonizing them for the sake of dirty politics?
PEMRA should take notice of this alarming trend. I am a die-hard supporter of a free media, but not at the cost of demonizing our Shaheeds and religion. Media should also take notice of such black sheep among them, and for the vast national interest curb such trends and warn those silly media persons, who are involve in such shameless act.
