Person and Tree

A long time ago, there was a huge “Apple Tree”. A little boy loved to come and play around it every day. He loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him. Time went by and the little boy grew up and he no longer played around the tree.

One day the boy came back to the tree “Come and play with me!”, the tree asked the boy. “I am no longer a kid, I don’t play around tree anymore, I want toys. I need money to buy them”, the boy replied.

“Sorry I don’t have money…but you can pick all my apples and sell them so, you will have money”. The boy grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily.

One day, the boy who had now turned into a man returned and the tree was very happy. “Come and play with me!” the tree said. “I don’t have time to play. I have to work for my family. Can you help me?”. “You can chop off my branches to build your house”, the tree replied. The man cut all the branches and went happily.

One hot summer day, the man returned and the tree was delighted,” Come and play with me!”, the tree said. “I am getting old. I want to go sailing to relax. Can you help me?” said the man. “Use my trunk to build your boat and be happy”. The man cut the tree trunk to make a boat and went sailing.

Finally the man returned after many years. “Sorry, boy I don’t have anything for you any more. I really cannot give you anything…The only thing left is my dying roots”, the tree said with tears. I don’t need much now, just a place to rest”, the man replied. “Good! Old tree’s roots are the best place to rest”. The man sat down and the tree was glad.

This is the story of every one. The tree is like our “Parents”. When we are young, we love to play with our parents. When we grow, we leave them…only come to them when we need something. Our parents are always there for us and give everything they could just to keep us happy…You may think the boy was cruel to the tree, But that is how all of us treat our parents. We take them for granted and we don’t appreciate all they do for us until its too late…!

Love your parents. They are the most precious asset!

Very good post, but what about those parents who don’t treat their children well?
