U.S. Has Cost Pakistan $102.5 Billion In The War On Terror

U.S. terrorismSince the twin tower attacks on 9/11 in 2001, the U.S. launched a spurious war on terror, costing Pakistan a total of $102.5 billion in a course of 13 years (Source). An imperialistic and racist apartheid state like the U.S. has not only terrorized and killed innocent civilians in Pakistan, but also financially hampered them. The war on terror has cost Pakistan an average of $7.9 billion a year.

Not only is the global war on terror an excuse to usurp the wealth of other countries and exercise power over them, but the excuse for the war – the 9/11 attacks – were an inside job. It is evident in the mysterious deaths and disappearances of key eyewitnesses of the 9/11 attacks. It seems as though people who were present at the scene of 9/11 had something to say that the U.S. government did not approve of. They wanted to highlight the lies of the Bush administration, and while the truth of eyewitnesses did not comply with fictitious stories cooked up by the U.S., and their comments did not coincide with those of the White House, they had to pay dearly for stating the truth, with their lives.

President George Bush always felt the need to commemorate the victims of 9/11, without a thought about the victims of his ghastly deeds, and now that President Barack Obama has been thrust into power, the commemoration continues. It does not matter that no one remembers the millions of Muslims whose lives have been shattered and turned upside down due to the oppression which has been fuelled by previous U.S. governments, whose escalation was seen when President Bill Clinton was elected into power, rose even further with the election of George Bush, and the ghastly work continued by yet another dictator, President Barack Obama.

While President Clinton was so severe in his oppression of the Iraqi people that he need a bait to divert the world’s attention, and thus the whole episode about the Monica Lewinsky scandal, his successor turned out to be the biggest predator of them all – President George Bush. Someone whose cruelty did not know any limits, a terrorist and a dictator in every sense, was finally replaced by President Barack Obama, someone who the world thought would serve justly. However, the moment he was elected, he changed colour like a chameleon and is all set to compete with his predecessors for the title of the world’s biggest terrorist.

Just as the U.S. has been killing millions of Muslims since decades in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Palestine, Libya, Syria, Panama, Somalia, Chechnya, Bosnia, and tortures and rapes continue in the prisons of Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay, do we think that killing 3,000 people in the World Trade Center is a big deal for a bloodthirsty government that thrives on human suffering?
