Exposed: Karachi City Nazim Mustafa Kamal threatening Media Reporter

Mustafa Kamal, City Nazim of Karachi, heading the City District Government of Karachi (CDGK), belongs to MQM. Apart from incorrect English that he loves to speak in his fake accent, he is pretty rude with Media who wants to highlight governance and administrative issues by the CDGK.

Here is a video where Mustafa Kamal got rude with FM 107 reporter, threatening him to broadcast what he is saying and dared the reporter to put it on YouTube.

Apparently, Mustafa Kamal “Bhai” got agitated when he was informed that the citizens of Lines Area had their water, electricity and gas cut since last few days, due to the construction work going on, and nobody has yet resolved the issue.

I wonder what would have happened with the reporter.

Also on PakPoint.

  1. ive heard he does good things for development of Karachi.

but is it true that MQM youth groups are to blame for the occasional ethnic violence?

why cant you Karachi people (not trying to generalize) view all Pakistan as your priority.

    Stop this provincial garbage.

  2. DEAR KASHIF AZIZ,
THE PROBLEM WITH TODAYS’ REPORTER IS THAT THEY NEVER DARE TO HIGHLITE THE INTERANL PROBLEMS OF OUR COUNTRY BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE RISK IN HIGHLITING THE INTERNAL PROBLEMS OF SINDH , HUGE BRIBES ARE RECIEVED BY MANY MEDIA JOURNALISTS FOR NOT SHOWIING THE FACT BUT IF THERE IS MISTAKENLY A PIN DROP BY A DYNAMIC MAYOR INSTEAD OF SHOWING HIS SEVERAL GOOD WORKS HIGHLIGHTING totally and irrelvant one sided scene.

  3. Dear All,
I disagree with every 1. Pakistanis TV or Radio channels coverage is worse.
I will not talk about Kamal or any particular person. Its we individual have to think about our character. I do not matter to us kamal or reporter character. What matter for us is who changed looks of our great city? If Iā€™m not wrong every 1 can see and feel the changes in Karachi from past years.
What we have done for our family. Our home our neighbor our country.
I m really proud of calling myself paki but when I travel I started feeling shame because of our media has explore inside country issue so drastically no words to express. Does any neighboring country promote their country in such a way?

  4. Asalam Alaikum,
Well I cannot talk abt his character or abt his party , but dnt you think that when he could see camera in front of him then why he would do so if he intend to threat the journalist in real it may be some irrelevant question because whenever development work took place these types of difficulties comes which ppls must compromise for short period, if they are so big thugs then he shd have ordered someone to teach lesson to ths journalist,

  5. Hi,

It seems like all the above postings are posted by MQM own people to protect their GANG LEADER. Everyone in Karachi knows that MQM is involved in every single violence that occurs on the streets of Karachi. From the brutal killing of Raees Amrohi and Hakeem Saeed to the massive killings of so many people on 14 May 2007 on the occasion of Chief Justice arrival in Karachi. But due to bleesings of Allah Mustafa Kamal despite of pretending to be well mannered and civilized showed his real face behind the fake mask.Time to open your eyes. A leader is who always patient no matter what goes against him like our beloved Prophet Mohammad(P.B.U.H) when ignorant people of Mecca would throw stones on him and he tolerated them. This is the quality of a true leader. Be careful while choosing a leader. We all Pakistanis are ashamed of M.Kamal’s attitude towards poor reporter .God bless our poor people.

  6. Asalamoalikum All,
Dear, anyone has the right to expose his views, as far as that reporter is concern, he has the right to ask a question, but not to ask the same question again and again.
And does anybody know, where does this incident happen, that was happen at Lines area, where city Nazim has destructed many houses (not all0), even when they are all Illegal, called (QABZA MAFIA in Karachi), so there nothing wrong in destruction of their houses. Even then CDGK is arranging an alternative for them to resettle them somewhere else, that destruction was a part of the road towards Saddar Parking plaza, which continues to Jail chowrangi, (where a flyover is in progress to make it signal free) and so on to NIPA chowrangi as well.
Let us consider the advantages of this corridor, it will facilitates our self to reach saddar town uninterrupted.

Why dont these bloody media people understand this?

Isnt it in the favour of People of Karachi……….

  7. LOL… I dont blame Mustafa Kamal for being rude. I mean the man is under pressure already and he can lose is temper if pushed hard enough. When he threatened he meant people to watch and to judge for themselves.
I hope the problem of affected people get resolved at the earliest.

  8. Hi everybody, Let us first look what we have done for our place for Karachi? Look inside ourselves bhai .. meri nazar me if Nazim have done so many things for karachi then this response should be ignored on the basis that every human make mistakes…and that we should consider his good efforts too.

By watching this video you cant jugde a man, you dont know the whole story behind it. Mustufa clearly said,” kitni baar me tum ko ye baat bataun?”. Further, what i heard the reporter said,” is me basaaeinge(to reside) logon ko?” something like that onto which nazim responded the above sentence.

The leaders usually get hyper from these reporters while on the other side some reporters throw fireballs onto some leaders such as that iraqi reporter at bush. I believe everyone has freedom to speak kashif, mustafa kamal didnt throw that man out of sight my brother, he just asked him that did he understand what he had told him before?” it is just it my bro..dont get too senti for this. This happens a lot of time in a journalist’s life and the leader is a human too just take yourself there at his place and then feel that you were there for your work and then immerse the media talking about what you are going to do?? come on man just let him do the work yar…
And karachi is in a developing state so saying that only road are getting the attention is wrong, look out for the parks, you need a green karachi, further karachi is NOT the only property of CDGK, there are many other owners such as DHA, contoment, and look in the world around you brothers, there is no one who is doing JUSTICE with his job and if Nazim is doing his job around 70% THEN WE SHOULD APPRECIATE HIM !!

We have to support mustafa kamal FOR his hard efforts towards karachi development. and we should take part in it too ! so dont fight about this video instead just put your efforts in making Karachi a Better Karachi.

  9. some of the youth/student groups under MQM are heavily armed racist thugs. But they have no bearing on MQM in my humble opinion.

I think any sane person realizes that MQM is a political party with popular support in the Sindh. I think it would be prudent to allow their leader to return from exile. He seems like a responsible and reasonable person.

regarding ethnicity –all ethnic identities should be crushed. We should celebrate our differences — but there are some groups which are intolerant. Pakistanis are Pakistanis –whether u are hindu, christian moslem, pathaan baluch or mohajir or whatever….

its time for us to mature a little bit……

as i said before, there are reasons for street crimes, power crisis, health programs etc. etc. It must be dealt with on macro and micro level.

At the moment, i believe most of the attention should be given to less developed rural areas. At the same time, we need to improve the training of our police forces. Armies job is to protect the nation, they should not be the ones having to deal with guard duties.
