Countryside Chalet Club Karachi: A Review

Countryside Chalet Club is a housing and farmhouse project beyond Malir Cantt in Karachi. It’s got a pond in the center of it and is full of lush greenery. I had an experience of staying there in village room which was very well furnished. The place is quite relaxing and offers something to everyone. The dining experience was also nice. It has a dining hall, lawn sitting and food street arrangements for visitors. Swimming pool though lacks stairs but it was clean and enjoyable experience.

Countryside Chalet Pond

Countryside Chalet offers the experience of rich resort life while being close to nature. The environment includes a huge entertainment area, picturesque lake, lush green lawns, cricket pitches, tennis courts, and a gym. While it has miscellaneous indoor games for those who don’t want to venture out far, they have an aviary, horse riding, swings, ATV buggies; Tonga rides mountain bikes and golf carts for the active visitors. A mini cinema resembling with Cineplex is also an attraction. A mosque and super store is there for the visitors. There is a ground with well made pitch to play cricket.

All amenities are enjoyable and relaxing but it surely needs some suggestions for improvement. First of all it was my first visit to any farm house so I don’t know about others but I find it a vast place. There should be a simple map for every visitor so that he or she could have easy access to their interests. There should be a connection with the management individual if visitor have any query via intercom because the rooms are far inside. Some facilities are charged individually like boating, Tonga ride, Cinema so there is a need to bring some new and interesting packages for families which includes some amenities.

I enjoyed driving buggy and Tonga ride is awesome. It reminds me of the days when we use to visit Punjab and fascinated with the ride of Tonga there. Pedal boating is also enjoyable but very tiring as it makes my foot muscles spasm. Tree houses are nice and unique. Very well built and the view beside the pond makes it unforgettable.

Overall it is a worth watching place for health retreat from fast and furious life of Karachi.

  1. I enjoyed driving buggy and tonga ride is awesome. It reminds me of the days when we use to visit Punjab and fascinated with the ride of Tonga there. Pedal boating is also enjoyable but very tiring as it makes my foot muscles cramp. Tree houses are nice and unique.

  4. COUNTRYSIDE CHALET, THE MOST PATHETIC SERVICES
    I have found Countryside Chalet, the most pathetic and horrible place to visit, the customer services are worst and the staff they have employed is not in the possession of any ethics and etiquettes.
    On Saturday 16th April 2011, I have visited countryside chalet along with my wife, the things I have encountered are:-
    1. On arrival, we have been stuck on the gate, even after showing a booking receipt to a guy named ASIF ZAI, he was least bothered to get us inside the chalet.
    2. Mr. ASIF ZAI, started investigating us in a very rude behavior, I have assured him regarding our wife-husband relation, as I’ve got a corporate booking via my company.
    3. Mr. ASIF ZAI kept on volleying irrelevant questions in a quite malicious manner, asking about NIKAH NAMA etc, I have showed him my medical card with the details of my spouse written, but he denied.
    4. I have made a call to My Manager Administration, he made a booking via Rehana Abbas – Marketing Manager at Countryside Chalet.), Mngr. Admn. talked to Mr. ASIF ZAI and assured him regarding our relation, but again he refused and made us stayed outside the gate for more than 20 minutes.
    5. After letting us inside, few steps across the gate, Mr. ASIF ZAI coming with a newly developed issue, told me that I will not be able to get a room inside the Chalet, as the entire Chalet has been booked for over 1600 employees of a Pharmaceutical Company ****.
    6. So, how it could be possible to became ineligible to get a room which has been booked in advance via Corporate-Level dealing.
    7. After a few telephonic conversations of Mr. Mngr. Admn. with Rehana Abbas, I have been told to enter as it has been instructed by Rehana Abbas, but Mr. ASIF ZAI, asked us to leave the chalet immediately.
    8. At last, after getting such an awful and insane kind of response from your employee for more than 11/2 hours, we have left the chalet.
    9. It was really a humiliating piece of customer dealing from Mr. ASIF ZAI, he was even least concerned about the presence of any lady (my wife) and showed pathetic etiquettes.
    QUESTIONS I NEED TO ASK
    1. If there are such a strict rules regarding documents (Nikah Nama etc), why I have not been informed earlier at the time of booking?
    2. Why the clause pertaining to the prerequisite of above mentioned docs is not mentioned in the Terms & Conditions written on that booking receipt which I’ve got?
    3. Why Madam Rehana Abbas, your so called Marketing Manager, has not bothered to resolve the issue?
    4. In which way I can be compensated for the loss I suffered?
    5. Don’t you think it’s just a Word of Mouth Advertisement, which develops or destroys any ones business?
