Cat Walk of Pregnant Women

An Indian company is arranging a fashion show for pregnant women in the Indian capital New Delhi. They are arranging this gala to show the pregnant women more pretty and charming. The said company will introduce special dresses for the pregnant women, which they consider will take the market by storm.

These companies are hell bent on humiliating the women. In the name of freedom, they just want to expose and undress the ladies at every age, at every stage, in every state, and at every forum. Just to sell their brand. If such trend carries on, we will soon see, a laid down cat walk of female dead bodies adorned in the coffins, wearing the latest designer dresses especially made for the deceased women.

In the subcontinent, there was an age, when it was considered very bad to even mention the word “Hamla” or “pregnant”, but now you could hear it very commonly at the television or in the newspaper. Ok, for health purposes and for the “Wuqfa” advertisements that has to be used, but why in the hell a cat walk of women, who are about to produce the next generation of human beings?

Now the lady would be doing cat walk, and the offspring inside the belly would be startled as what exactly his mother is doing. According to the golden rules of the cat walk, 9-month pregnant ladies will take part in this prestigious show. It would be another news or blog post for that matter, if any festinated child would choose to come out in the world just when mother will be smiling on the audience while swishing on the aisle.

Its really shocking as how the businesses “innovate” such ideas to sell their products. Fashion is another thing and ridiculing the humanity is another. Indian court should take a suo moto action against this cat walk.

  1. It’s not a unique or new idea sir.

Many fashion houses in Paris, Rome and New York DO organize exactly same kind of events … and India’s fashion industry is growing largely too – so whats the big shout??

BTW, i liked the deceased fashion show idea – see if Dolce Gabana hears this 😉

  2. i think you have a point fahd, but there should be an adjusment in the models they should be at least 6-7months and not 9months where that is a bit risky for the moms to be walking on the ramp but all in all, that is a very good idea !!! i think pregnant are so beautiful truly.

  3. @ hira khan: There is no harm in selling a dress for pregnant women, same as there is no harm in selling the undergarments.

But arranging a catwalk of pregnant women, just to sell the brand is not appropriate, in my humble opinion.
